That looks like a bad line. If you bet +10x when the market is NYG-3, expect your wager to be voided.

Is this a common practice? Ive never been a big live better, but I assumed they honor the lines that they put up. Obviously I had to jump on that.

It is common practice and in some places could get you in trouble with the house. So if you see a bad line I'll recommend to let them know or simply don't take it.

Seems pretty strange, isn't the goal of the sportsbetting to spot what you think is a bad line, and wager on it? How do you know if a number is a “bad line” and not just the house taking a wrong position on a game? Especially when with live betting you often only have about 30 seconds to make the call.

If this was an in-game bet, it was probably even worse.
Look for edges, but if something is way off market, it will usually be voided. This was so far off-market, I would never hope that a book would honor it.

i saw that line, it was in game. i knew it should have been Giants -10.5 as they were hammering the Cowboys.
Don't bet obvious mistakes.

If that is a live bet and it was left up there at +10.5 for more than 5 minutes, then I would say your bet should be graded as a win. If they took down that line immediately after you placed the bet, then maybe they could void it. If it was before the game, the bet should be canceled/deleted.

i did that once on a regular line where sabathia for the yanks at home was getting 1.5 runs again a shit team for 2.20 to 1 payout. i jumped on it and sports interaction voided it in about 1/2 hr. i also got an email from them to alert them to a bad line rather than bet it in the future.

If you make a live bet in error you can't get it voided, but if they make an error during live bet taking, they can. Sounds fair.
