I signed up to Betfred yesterday after clicking on one of their ads.
I deposited some money using my CC, and placed a bet.
The next morning I get an email stating they have suspended my account until I send in some docs and scans of my CC. Fair enough.
One of their required docs is a passport. I do not have a passport, as i have never traveled. I sent them scans of my CC, copies of my bank statement, and a scan of my drivers licence, and explained I did not have a passport.
I got a response stating "Your account will remain closed until you send a copy of your passport".
I replied and restated i did not have a passport, and asked if there was something else i could send. All I get back now are template emails restating I need to send a copy of my passport.
So now they are holding me to ransom, demanding I do something impossible. Surely these guys realize that not everyone has a passport. This is crazy. What can I do?
