#1977Cambuur -1 A.H. @ -180 at home to FC Eindhoven;
Eindhoven missing important players like Koc (20 apps, 9 goals), Dadda (9 apps, 5 goals), & Bourdouxhe (11 apps, 3 goals). Cambuur have won 7 out of 9 home games this season, only losing to MVV who are third in league, and drawing to Volendam who are fourth in league. Eindhoven are bottom of the league coming off a 6-1 thrashing away at Sparta. Almost seems to easy so not going as big as I'm really tempted to and sticking with the -1 rather than -1.5 or -2.
Go Ahead Eagles/Oss Over 3 goals @ -153;
Simply playing this because Go Ahead have fourth highest goals per game average in league with 3.6, and Oss are third with 3.68 goals per game.
Would appear I made the right decision at least to not be greedy and play the Cambuur -1.5 rather than -1. Eindhoven created plenty of chances but without the three attacking players that I mentioned they didn't have any clinical players who could finish off those chances.Comment -

#1978CL plays:
Bayern Munich PK @ -153 away at Arsenal;
Galatasary PK @ -126 at home to Schalke.
Took these about 10 days ago and looks like I got them at good lines as Bayern PK is now around -185 to -225 range, and Galatasary PK is -162 to -187 range. Not much explanation needed for playing Bayern PK, I think Arsenal are going to have to play their best game of season just to scrape a draw out of this, or hope that Bayern just dont turn up! I could see Bayern winning this 2 or 3-1, unless Wenger pulls some magic out the bag like he has done in past when under pressure like he is now. I think worst-case Arsenal scrape a 1-1 or 2-2 draw though. The Over 2.5 might well end up being the smarter play though.
Galatasary are obviously always going to be difficult to beat on their home turf (Hell!) with the crazy crowd. Combine that with the new experienced Champs League players in Sneijder and Drogba, and with the fact that Schalke aren't in good form and again I find it hard to imagine Gala losing this. The loss of Holtby to Tottenham has been a big blow for Schalke, and they also have Uchida, Papadopoulos, Moritz, Unnerstall, and Affelay out injured. And winter signing Raphael is unavailable due to already playing in CL with Dinamo Kiev. At end of day though Gala did lose to Braga and draw to Cluj at home in the group stage so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Schalke win. They've still got some very dangerous attacking players in Michel Bastos, Huntelaar, and Farfan so always the threat of Schalke scoring a couple of goals which is very possible against this Gala defense. Again, the smarter play may end up being the Over 2.5 or BTTS! I certainly wouldn't play Gala PK at the current odds of -162 to -187 range.Comment -

#1979Arsenal De Sarandi game tomorrow night could be a interesting one. They played against The Strongest in Colombia on Friday and then have game tomorrow, then Argentinos away on Friday, then Atl. Mineiro at home on the following Wednesday so they will rest some of the regulars for sure either in the game tomorrow or Argentinos on Friday.It's only thoughts though! I'm not actually sure that they are resting important players yet, and unlike teams like Newells who rely on a few stand-out players, Arsenal De Sarandi are more of a team that's full off reasonably solid players rather than anybody special so sometimes not as significant as when a Newell's side rest key players.
The main thing stopping me from going bigger is Rafaela's mediocre away record (1 win, 2 draws, 6 losses in Opening stage), while Arsenal are reasonably solid at home with 5 wins, 1 draw, and 3 losses; and also as I mentioned above some teams like Arsenal De Sarandi don't really have any key stand-out players as such so it's not as significant when some regulars don't play as they aren't necessarily that much better than the subs.Comment -

#1981hopefully not as I've played Bayern PK! Bayern did lose to BATE away and only draw against Valencia away despite having an extra player for two-thirds of game so wouldn't be too surprised if Arsenal play their game of season and scrape a draw or even narrow win! Stranger things have happened, certainly wouldnt play Bayern PK at the current lines of -200 to -225.Comment -

#1982Looks like I was right and Arsenal are resting some regulars (the Rafaela money line has moved accordingly though going from +300 to +275 on most sites). Going to make a play on Rafaela PK @ +175 but keeping it very small even though Arsenal are resting/without likes of Carbonero (19 apps, 2 goals), Aguirre (13 apps, 1 goal), Ortiz (17 apps, 2 goals), Braghieri (19 apps, 1 goal), Lopez (18 apps, 3 goals), Benedetto (12 apps, 3 goals), and Luguercio (17 apps). Also, Rafaela are giving Uruguayan striker Diego Vera his first start, a player that scored 13 goals in 15 appearances for Liverpool in Uruguayan Prem but then failed to make the grade in Mexico during a spell at Queretaro. He has the potential to be a surprise package for Rafaela and could score some goals with the right kind of service.

#1987Malaga +1 A.H. @ -134 at Porto;
Can't resist not playing this after seeing how Malaga performed in all their group games where they didn't lose a game. James Rodriguez still not fit enough to start for Porto which makes a big difference for me as he's their key creative force. I can also see Malaga snatching a goal as Porto's defence is very inexperienced with Mangala, Otamendi, Danilo, and Alex Sandro (average age is about 22.5).Comment -

#1991Some plays for tomorrow/weekend so far:
Moderate play on Ried -1 A.H. @ +112 at home to Wolfsberger in Austrian Bundesliga;
Parlay (treble): Ried PK (-350), Oldham PK (-400), & Austria Vienna/Admira Over 1.5 goals (-600);
Again, there is always a risk playing teams in these kind of leagues as it can be very random, but I can't resist playing Ried -1 A.H. tomorrow night at home to Wolfsberger. Wolfsberger were supposed to play at home at the weekend against Salzburg and I was going to play Salzburg -1 A.H. but the game was called off due to the snow. My main reason for wanting to play Salzburg was due to Wolfsberger being without a few key players due to injury/suspension such as defender Solano (11 apps, 2 goals); and midfielders Jacobo (17 apps, 3 goals), De Paula (19 apps, 1 goal), and Kerhe (18 apps). As the Salzburg game was cancelled, these players will now be unavailable for the game tomorrow at Ried. Furthermore, since the weekend, Wolfsberger's striker and top-scorer Christian Falk (17 apps, 10 goals) has picked up a slight groin-strain and will not be in the squad. Had he been available I'd of probably just stuck with Ried PK in the parlay, but with him out as well in addition to their best creative midfielder Jacobo (former Atletico Madrid prospect) I've had to pull the trigger on the Ried -1 Asian Handicap. To further highlight the importance of these players: Solano, Jacobo, De Paula, and Falk have scored in total 16 of Wolfsberger's total 27 goals in the league this season (60%).
When looking at the two teams' form you have to favour Ried as well. Ried have won their last 4 home games and won each one by more than a one goal difference, including an impressive 3-1 win against Salzburg, and they managed to beat Wacker Innsbruck 3-0 last weekend despite being down to 10 men after having Trauner sent-off after 30 minutes. Wolfsberger meanwhile have lost 2 drawn 3 of their last 5 games including losing 6-3 at home against Austria Vienna in their last game on the 10th Feb - a game where Falk, Jacobo and De Paula (who are all missing tomorrow) scored their three goals. Also worth noting that when these two met back in October at Wolfsberger's ground Ried ended up winning 5-2 and that was with De Paula, Jacobo, Kerhe, and Falk all featuring for Wolfsberger.
After all that though, this game may well end up being cancelled just like the Salzburg one on Sunday due to the snow! Ried have even asked fans to come to the stadium early tomorrow and help clear the snow and in return they'd get free-entry to the game should it go ahead! Perhaps this added effort is because the club know that this is the perfect opportunity to get three-points against Wolfsberger whilst they have key players out.Comment -

THis is it now...
Playing field is cleared!
Heavy snowfall surprises No worries Arena
The unexpectedly intense snowfall overnight left its mark.about 20 cm of fresh snow covered the field of No Worries Arena.
Thanks to the numerous Freiwiliigen we proceed progressing rapidly with the snow removal. At 10.00 clock as about 50% of the pitch was cleared.
The turf is in perfect condition and thus a game no problem at all.
