5Dimes usually has better odds then Unibet, but Unibet has a lot more variation. I only use Unibet for propbets like goalscorers etc nowadays. Don was right about the Asians, they usually have the best lines available, plus you get to bet AH instead of the EH that Unibet offers (5Dimes also offers AH btw).
True.. just like tonight I couldn't play the 1H AZ bet if I only had an account at 5dimes.. Plus I like some of the props from time to time!
First let's get a nice run to start the season.

What a poor performance by AZ... Can't even place a decent attack. And the one chance they do get is headed out by the own striker...
Edit: are you serious? Empty goal and Benson places it on the crossbar?!

Well, AZ came through with the winner after all, which not only wins us back our lost 1H bet but also making some profit for the day.

Well, I'm out for two weeks! Hope the Ajax 1H bet makes some money while I'm away. I'll be back just in time for the 2nd competion round so there's also better info of the strenght of some of the teams after the 1st round!

Did you watched Ajax match with Indepiendente last saturday?
It was a friend match, but Ajax gave some sample of a very balanced team, strong defense and quality attack. Ozbiliz (23) is an amazing player.

Yeah I've seen the game. Not the best of Ajax though lately, but I do agree that with the signing of Janssen Ajax gained a lot more balance in the team. Ozbiliz has to prove his worth this season, but I don't think he will be a starter any time soon. Has great moments, but overall comes short for the starting eleven.
A period at another team (loan) might be good for him.

Since I'm leaving on a two week vacation this friday, I'm making a few plays now for the opening weekend of the competition since I won't be able to do so from my vacation adress in Greece.
A play that already caught my eye is the Ajax at the Graafschap 1H play. Im putting this one in right away.
Ajax always seems to have quite an easy match at De Graafschap looking at last years results:
08/29/10 Ajax @ De Graafschap 5-0 12/21/08 Ajax @ De Graafschap 6-0 08/19/07 Ajax @ De Graafschap 8-1 11/20/04 Ajax @ De Graafschap 5-0
A funny fact is that Ajax led all those matches after the 1H with 2-0. I'm confidend this year will go pretty much the same. Ajax will want to try and go on a immediate run from the start of the season and in my opinion they are ready for a great season with De Graafschap being an easy opener for them.
Well, since I have been away on a 2 week holiday (I literally just came back) I haven't been able to contribute to my thread. There was one play still pending whilst on vacation; a 2 unit winner!
I haven't seen the match myself but from what I've read Ajax won the game fairly easy (4-1) whilst leading 2-1 at half time giving us the winner!
Since it's 02:00 AM right now I'm off to bed, will post my play(s) for the dutch soccer weekend tomorrow!

Ok, I just put in two plays for tonights matches;
08/13/2011 AZ (Eredivisie)/FC Twente* -133 (Eredivisie) *LOCKED* (1 unit)
08/13/2011 RKC Waalwijk (Eredivisie)/PSV over 3.5 -133 (Eredivisie)*LOCKED* (1 unit)
First the AZ at FC Twente match. AZ began this season with a terrific 3-1 home victory over a terrible PSV (with their 3 new stars Mertens-Wijnaldum-Strootman all playing) whilst Twente narrowly won at NAC with Janko securing the win with a 1H penalty.
Ruiz is said to be out on Twente's side tonight, and Chadli and Bajrami will also still be out. Even though, I suspect that Twente will take this one tonight against AZ. Despite the great season opener for AZ I don't think they can pull out another surprise. Probalby a 1 goal margin win for Twente.
Second pick tonight is the RKC at PSV match where PSV, like I just mentioned, comes of of a terrible 3-1 defeat at AZ. The board at PSV as well as the fans will only settle for the title this year with some big signings last summer and the three last seasons without a title in Eindhoven. PSV desperately needs a big win tonight to avoid a crisis this early in the season. Therefore I expect them to go all out on the promoted RKC (who had a nice result in their first match of the season with a 2-2 home draw against Heracles), who won't stand a chance I think. This one might end in a 4-0 victory for the home team.

Well, PSV makes a terrible appearance once again, with a shitty 1-0 victory over RKC. After the game coach Rutten said PSV "needs time" but I don't think time is what they need. This team is just shitty.
Twente took a 2-0 win over AZ, while AZ may have deserved a point. Ruiz (played 2H) made the difference for the home team.
1-1 tonight, with only some juice lost. On to tomorrow.

Not really liking the card today, so I put in a (quite risky) two team parlay:
08/14/2011 ADO Den Haag (Eredivisie)/FC Groningen*(Eredivisie) 08/14/2011 De Graafschap (Eredivisie)/FC Utrecht*(Eredivisie)
1 unit to win 2.56 units*LOCKED*
I'm rolling with the two home teams in these matches with both of them having had a bad season opener. Groningen lost 2-1 at Roda whilst Utrecht played 0-0 at VVV.
Both teams are said to play for the play-off spots at the eind of the season and both should be able to finish in the top 10 of the table. Utrecht (who have lost Strootman and Mertens to PSV and Vorm to Swansea) will have a hard time today with de Graafschap but they should win this one with the home advantage. Same goes for Groningen against an ADO Den Haag who have not proven to be the contending team they were last season with poor perfomances in the EL qualifiers and the season opener against Vitesse (0-0).

Groningen came trough with the easy win.. Utrecht only started playing after they were down 2-2 and did only manage to get the 2-2. 1 unit loss today, but like I said earlier, this parlay was a risky one.

Totals will come ofcourse, give it some time to see how the teams are doing and what to expect. These were just the second matches.
I feel bad though I didn't play a total on the Groningen - ADO match (4-2) after they scored 6 goals in the last two head to heads.

I missed that one, as well. I played the others @ over 2.5, and they hit. I should have played the last one too! Oh well.

A lot of juice on this one but I'm quite confident this will easily go over. I expect this to be an open game with NEC taking this one fairly easy.

Wow.. 2 games in the whole round of games go under; exactly the two I needed to go over. NEC decided to only start scoring after the 70th minute; 2-0.

Winner after just 35 minutes!! Twente started strong and got the 1-0 lead after a great shot from De Jong. Benfica seems to be a size to big though for Twente tonight and came back to 1-2 with two great goals.
Sit back and enjoy the rest of the match now! A nice 2 unit winner.

Is this thread open for everyone to post their picks? If not, tell me and I won't do it again. If yes, here it comes. What do you think?
Vitesse – FC Utrecht
FC Utrecht is in poor form. Maybe it is because they lost their best players and are suffering from injuries that they played a draw against De Graafschap. Today Wuytens, one of their most important players, was carried of the training field because of an injury. This resulted in a drop in the odds in favour of Vitesse (From around 2.00 to 1.90).
Vitesse on the other hand are getting better and better. After their false start against ADO Den Haag (0-0) they played wonderfully entertaining against VVV Venlo. The show was stolen by players like Bony and Chanturia, and the game ended in 4-0.
FC Utrecht played VVV Venlo in their first game too, and this ended 0-0. So my advice is too play Vitesse to win. The odd is decent.
At the moment I don't know the odds for Bony and/ or Chanturia to score, so we'll have to wait to see if that makes value.

Everyone is ofcourse welcome to post their insights on the matches from the Eredivisie!
I totally agree with you on your Vitesse-Utrecht insights. I don't see Utrecht standing a chance this weekend with their poor form and Vitesse, as you said, seems to be growing weekly. Glad we agree on the play.

For some strange reason the line from Roda JC against RKC went from -170 to -139 overnight. This might have something to do with Tyton (GK) moving from Roda to PSV. Since we allready have the EH pending on Roda and I'm feeling confident they'll get the win tonight, even though their first goalie left, I'm putting 2 extra units on the ML.

Well.. Who would have thought RKC would win 0-2 at Roda?!! A real setback to the start of the weekend. It's still early in the season so enough time to make up these small losses!
