A combination of many factors meant Spurs lost 3-2 away to Young Boys. Back home on a proper pitch with the vocal WHL crowd behind them, I expect 'Arry's boys to win comfortably.

The Helsingborg game shows why I played European handicaps today. Wouldn't have mattered in the Spurs game but I would have lost in the Helsingborg game if I played -1.5. Instead I got a push. Better than losing money.

Also, the reason why I played -1 on Spurs was I was wary of them. They are not very experienced in Europe so I was going to go steady with them. And I got a very good value on -1.

If you got a push on that Helsingborg game you didn't get a -1 European Handicap but a -1 Asian Handicap though. The European Handicap is always 3-way, meaning a win by one goal would have made it a draw and as a result a loss (draw is a betting option there), whereas with the Asian Handicap (2-way) it's a push.

That's what I meant when I said the -1 European Handicap is the same as the -1.5 Asian Handicap, you need a winning margin of at least 2 goals to win it.
