Alright, went 2-1 yesterday. Won the Tennis and Football play, lost the MLB play. MLB's not my strong-suit at the moment, but I'm glad to have made a profit on the day. Put a fairly bit bet on the Tennis play, so I'm good with yesterdays action. Today should be good, got a lot of leans already, just gotta do some solid research to either solidify these leans or change them/no play them.

Thanks for the info. I read this actually, and the only reason I put a bet on him was because the US Open is in his home state. But, I've definitely heard that he quits on occasion, so thanks for looking out.

Early MLB play:

Mets/Cubs U 8.5

This was @ +100 (or +EV, for those that don't play poker), so I'm guessing the wind is blowing outward at Wrigley Field. Zambrano has pitched really well as of late (3-0 in last 5 starts, 1.84 ERA), and the Mets are bringing in one of their top prospects who has been crushing the Minor Leagues. So long as neither team gives up too many homerun balls, I think this one stays under.

Chop - I think the Yanks win in a high-scoring matchup. The Yanks Run Line looks to be best value. The Over/Under is set a whopping 10 runs, and it's favored to go over! It's a no play for me though since I didn't get a chance to do enough research on it.

College Football tonight:

Wisconsin/UNLV U 55

Wisconsin should crush UNLV here, probably by 3 TDs or so, and while the line is at -20 at the moment, I think the Under is the play. Wisconsin is a running team (with Big Ten Offensive Player of the year John Clay carrying the ball) which suggests that they will use more clock than a pass-heavy offense. Along with this, Wisconsin has a terrific defense (17th in FBS last year in yards allowed per game) and UNLV has a new head coach who is inexperienced playing against defenses this good. Now, why wouldn't I pick Wisconsin to cover on this game then, you might ask? Well, the way I see this game developing is that Wisconsin will be running the ball often, and with John Clay just coming off of 2 ankle surgeries, there will be questions about his game-time fitness. Brett Bielema, WI head coach, has said that he plans on using his 2nd and 3rd running backs quite often, and this will be especially true if either Clay isn't properly fit or if Wisconsin gets an early lead. Look for the 2nd and 3rd RBs to get a lot of carries in the 2nd half. I think WI wins 38-10.

The Wisco bet didn't work out. I honestly think I made the right play. If you watched the game you saw that exactly what I predicted happened, but I got screwed on the turnover TDs. The first half resulted in 14 pts off turnovers for UNLV. I knew their offense would suck, and it did, but turnovers killed my play. No big deal, it was a bad beat and I'm fine with that because that happens no matter what sport you bet. Good night nonetheless. Tomorrow will be a good day I feel. Yea, i did hit the yankees game with the RL. Was very close call after they ahead by 3 points and ended up a tie at the 5th inning. Really scared though, i bet quite big since. About the over is less frustrated than the RL, i would of take the over like you said instead of RL. Thanks for the yanks suggestions Antidote. Looking forward to tail you some MLB ..honestly, i know nothing about baseball and football lolzzz....

Didn't play any games yesterday, but I feel I should recommit myself to playing poker regularly. I have a hard time moderating myself on poker. I go streaky to the point where I wont play for a week or two or I'll play nonstop for a week. I need to find a good balance in order to stay on my game. I played about 4-5 hrs a day in the past 3 days which is a good average for me and I'm up about 15 buy-ins. We'll see how it goes, it's definitely intermittent reinforcement.

Nonetheless, hopefully I feel good enough to take some time to focus on some games today. (that is, if any good games are available)

You should practice Omaha hi, it's pretty profitable in the small cash games. Holdem is still my favorite, but too many people know the ins and outs as much as anyone else.

You're right Johon, it's just not my strongest game at the moment. I prefer to play mixed games, like HORSE, but I've made more money in NL Holdem than any other game. For those that care, here are my stats in poker:
