He was injured going into the 2006 world cup, didn't score a goal and got sent off that ultimately ended England's world cup campaign that year so not sure where you got your beast comment from. However if you have even watched 1 Manchester United game in the last 4 years you will know that he has not deteriorated. He carried that team last season and if it wasn't for him they wouldn't have even got close to finishing 2nd in the Premier League. He was awful in these 4 games but not 1 England player can hold their head up so he shouldn't be the only one to get the blame.
