uruguay should win this one... so far theyve allowed their defense to control games and use their offense when opportunity knocks... i like that formula and for that reason, im on them to win

I'm betting on Uruguay -0.5 to win this, their defense is rock solid. The Uruguay defense will handle Korea's pace easily. They also have Suarez and Forlan who have been playing really well since last season.

Uruguay to advance, going big! Uruguay wouldn't have lost 4-1 to Argentina. Hopefully an easy pick here.

I went with over 2 -106 for a small bet. While this might be another tight defensive 0-0, 1-0 type of play off game, an early goal would probably open up the game. S. Korea is a fast team and Uruguay has talent up front. there's likely small value on over IMO.
Rooting for Uruguay, but wouldn't touch them now when the line has dropped to -120. Korea might have small value.

Nice analysis of the Uruguay early in this thread. I agree completely. South Korea has played semi-inconsistent - but overall they are much better than I expected. They move the ball around well and play pretty damn good defense, despite getting rolled by Argentina. Uruguay has been consistently 'very good' limiting quality chances - their defense isn't the whole story, though. I'm not certain Uruguay's counter attack style will work in this game. They've been 'mediocre' at best when trying to 'build' a goal, rather than break out and strike - I see this as a problem, potentially.
I can see this game going 1-0 or possibly a draw, but it all depends if Korea tries to 'go for it', which they will at times, leaving them vulnerable.
Usually the better team moves on and I obviously like Uruguay, but sheesh, this isn't a slam dunk punt at all.
