Now that the games can go into a shootout PKs. Which team do you think will have better composure when lining up and which team has the better keeper?

Im undecided on what to think about Uruguays keeper currently because France imploded in the group, Africa was garbage against them and Mexico was happy just to move on against them.

Agree with Jimmy here. Don't sit there and think about how you think the ML is too low. South Korea had major issues with the only other great offensive side they played in Argentina. Uruguay isn't Argentina, but the duo of Forlan & Suarez is fantastic. I think South Korea will start out defensive and try to counter attack, but if Uruguay scores an early goal - we've already seen that they are capable of playing solid defense. Should be a good clash.

I'm leaning on Uruguay for this one. They impressed me to finish top of a difficult group without conceding a goal. They started holding a pre-imploding France 0-0 before scalping the host nation and silencing the vuvuzelas running out 3-0 victors. Against an impressive Mexican side, they did a job holding out for a 1-0 win. Forlan runs the show, but dangerous striker Suarez looks to have more goals in him. Mexico put the defence under pressure in the second-half of their final game, but the defence held out for another clean-sheet.

South Korea emerged from a group where Argentina were the strongest team. They had already gained a creditable 2-0 win over a defensive un-ambitious Greek side, but were soundly beaten 4-1 when facing Messi, Higuain and Co. Needing a draw against Nigeria to qualify they were thankful that Yakubu missed an open-goal sitter from 4 yards out to win the game and edged through with a 2-2 score.

Everything points to a ML win for Uruguay (Currently around Evens with UK Bookies). I don't see this game going to Extra-time or penalties. S.Korea will run their nuts off for 90 minutes and create chances, but Uruguay just have that little bit more class to get the job done.

Expecting something along the lines of 1-0, maybe 2-1 to Uruguay

South Korea will make it difficult for the Uruguay team but I feel they will loose this one, perhaps in extra time. I am betting on Uruguay to qualify in a double with Argentina. Knockout football is predictible but not always in 90 minutes.

I say this respectfully but S Korea just hung on because they were in a very weak group, Argentina being the strongest foe, and a very weak greece and nigeria following.

In SKorea's only real contest against ARG they were dominated, BAD! (4-1). beat greece, but then struggled against Nigeria tying to them 2-2.

These guys allowed 6 goals in their 3 matches, and with a mediocre defense facing a strong Uruguian Offense i think they have no chance.

last angle i would like to talk about is the fact that in these 16 team brackets i usually look for which games can bring us the "surprises" or the unpredictable results. those games, respectfully in my opinion, are:

USA / GHANA
NETHE / Slovakia
GER / ENG
PAR / JAP
ESP / POR

so i think there are plenty of other games to doubt, but this one is clear. a 2-0, or 3-1 game is my call.

I like Korea ML +350.
Uruguay is a team that locks down defensively, and is known as a defensive style team. For some reason I think Korea plays better against these teams, because it somewhat alleviates the pressure off their own defense which has been shaky at times. Surely Forlan and Suarez will get their chances, however I dont think it will be the consistent pressure like that of a powerhouse like Argentina or Spain would get, therefore I think the style of Uruguay benefits Korea.
Korea IMO is a bit underrated. At times their ball movement is very good, they are tremendous on set plays, and you can put them up there with anyone when it comes to pure effort. I look for Lee Chung-Yong, Park Chu Yong, and Park Ji-Sung to dictate the pace of the game, and I like Korea to win 2-1.
Just my opinion.
