if forced to decide, I would back Uruguay here. I feel like the incentive to avoid Argentina in the next round is enough to encourage a strong game on both sides, so even though the draw would guarantee both teams advance, it would be smarter for the teams to push and try to steal an early goal before switching to a more defensive mindset.

I don't know why are you bothering with Argentina? Qualifying into top 16 means them much more than calculation with their opponents. But if their calculation goes wrong they wont even make it into top 16 teams.

The only way Uruguay and Mexico fail to advance is if France can blow out SA and the Mexico/Uruguay game ends in a very one-sided result. Otherwise the goal differential is too great for France to overcome, even if they can get the win vs SA.

As a fellow Korean I would like to see the South Koreans play Uruguay more than Mexico. The Koreans can play with the Uruguay team. They match up with Mexico pretty good to but im not going to be one to say that Korea will win automatically against Mexico because they wont they have a better chance at beating Uruguay IMO.

I think you guys have to realize they are not "playing for a draw" - they would be playing it safe is what people mean when they say both would come out and play for the draw. In other words, neither team may decide to attack a whole bunch and be happy with their point and advancement. This is a horrible match to wager on I believe because you have no idea about the mindset of either team. At best, wait until the match starts so you can see how they are going to play and make an in-match or half time bet. Anything else just seems like you need the action if you're on this one.

Thanks homey. That was my first wager on the World Cup, Uruguay to Advance at +110. Used a free play for that and Brazil to win it all. I really enjoy watching them too. Forlan was amazing in that last match. If they can finish first in the Group, which will be accomplished with the much-talked about draw, I love their chances of getting to the QFs and honestly, they match-up well with the teams from Group C & D that would be QF opponents. Mexico is favorite vs Uruguay I've been saying this before they beat France which I also said they would. Mexico were unlucky to play SA in the first game of the WC, but I'm still confused why some people are saying Uruguay is favorite over Mexico when H2H records speak for themselves.
