Spain would beat the Swiss 9 times out of 10. The Spaniards completely dominated that game other than the scoresheet.

Our most important soccer game ever. Amazing results last 2 years. Poland and Czech Republic were behind us in qualification group and then we beat Russia, amazing. This team and this coach just get it done and I believe they will do it again tomorrow. Probably low scoring. Slovenia wins 1-0.

With Slovenia you know what your going to get, they don't have the individual quality to change things around much, they are a cohesive, defensive minded team. They do not defend aswell is made out but USA doesn't usually do the pressing in a game and are better at counter attacking.

Both teams play a 4-4-2, a defensive 4-4-2 of Slovenia could cause a deadlock and create an uneventful game so expect USA to make some tactical changes. The game will mostly be played in Slovenia's half, US will need to be creative in midfield, they used the flanks well against England and Algeria created most their danger on set pieces and crosses so its something the US team could exploit.

USA is a tournament team, they get more cohesive as it goes on and have a good team spirit, I think Slovenia will find it hard to keep the team out all game and I fancy my chances with a team that is likely to have the other barreled in most the game @ +120 than a team trying to hold out as I don't think they can get a goal back if they concede, USA ML is good value.

A draw with Slovenia would leave the teams 2 points apart going into the final game, not 3. I don't think Slovenia should be particularly in love with a draw in this game, considering it's likely the US will get 3 points from Algeria. In that case Slovenia would need at least a draw with England in their final game to advance.

I'm not sure where the writer of this article formed his math skills, but 4 minus 2 is not 3. And that changes the entire complexion of the write up in my opinion.

100% correct. The one point difference is huge since a draw vs an angry England team would be very tough.

Confederations cup is firmly in the friendlies category for teams like Spain and Italy.

England was overrated. The draw was not surprising at all. Slovenia is underrated. The US is not the type of team to dominate a game. These are two teams that, rather than create space on the offensive half, would rather have the other team hand them the space to counter. In spite of their talk, the US doesn't need a win here, and this could be a scenario for a cautious draw. If the US wants to force the issue, Slovenia could win.

Horrible officiating. Should have won the game 3-2 with a Maurice Edu game winner. Nonetheless we shouldn't have let Slovenia score 2 goals against us. Gotta pull for England to win out now.
