Paraguay has done good in south america , but most of the teams there aren't organised and don't have good defenders like italy . Italy Clean sheet @ 2.28 ( betfair) seems a good bet

Sorry bro I´m not italian just have the sympathy to the game they play. I´m aware of Paraguay game class but can´t see them winning today. Any bet on Italy +goals has value for me tonight.

So many questions about Italy's lineup...who will be the main man? Will Iaquinta play? if so where?. How will they function through midfield with out the ever-present Pirlo? Can Zambrotta and Cannavaro cover anything with pace?

I try hard not to read to much into 1st games, but this one will surely help fill in a lot of blanks.

Their group is very weak with NZ and Slovakia so the big risk here to either team is a straight loss. You lose today your tourney is pretty much over as Italy and Paraguay should easily win their next 2 matches. Both teams will be extremely satisfied with a tie. If you can get U2 for a good price it's a pretty solid play as I can't see a 2-1 or 3-0 score.

Italy 2-0 and 3-0 for nice payouts, hoping one of them hits. Only playing it because everyone is talking shit on them about them being too old and the odds are nice.

If I learned anything over the years, a group of old timers that played at a high level playing a pick-up game of hockey against young high school/college kids who are fast, will win the majority of the time because nothing can move faster than the puck and the old timers know this, they make up for lack of speed with their passing ability. The Italians IMO will not be scored on and will be able to get a few today with their passing ability.
