I also think they had to use that as a deterrent to stop the Aussies from deliberately fouling the Germans since they had no hope to win the match.

i know...it was not a big challenge. What happened to Australia? I thought they were better. Anyway, it was a nice kick-off for Germany. Plus, it is always fun to see some goals in soccer. Unlike American sports, soccer can look like a drag sometimes. I was happy to see some action.
