seriously ghana is one of the best if not the best african team and def the only team who has a shot at making the quarterfinals ,
it will still be difficult enough to finish first or 2nd in this group but they should get a draw tomorrow .
Ghana getting +0.5 stood right out to me when i checked the wc odds for the first time 2 weeks ago.

i'm not sure if they will advance , only bet i made so far is ghana +0.5 -126
but i'm sure that there won't be alot of african teams who will advance and ghana is the one who has the best shot at finshing first or second.
if you like serbia to win this game or ghana to not advance in this group make a large wager in the pointsbook or at your sportsbook and i will be the first one to congratulate you if ghana loses tomorrow.

I have serbia advancing at -110 for 1x. I think you are overrating Ghana. Essien is a top 6-7 midfielder in the world IMO and the best defensive mid there is. Cameroon is solid, and Refs will make sure they give SA every opportunity to advance (even though they might not).

Essien is a great player but his absence doesn't have as big an impact on the team as its made out. It is a huge miss player wise but it doesn't change the team system wise, the team isn't built around one player, they are a cohesive, organized and disciplined unit. Ghana gets less attention than the other African teams but they are along with Egypt the strongest side on the continent. They have been doing great in the U17/19/21 World Cups, Ghana is heading in the right direction and focus on the tactical side of the game alot.

Ghana will surprise people with how they play.

What African teams lack is pure goal scorers. This is their downfall. Serbia needs 1-2 chances to score a goal Ghana needs 10 chances. If you notice Nigeria today and South Africa yesterday you get the idea. Only teams that have pure scorers are Cameroon and Ivory Coast. The rest of the African countries don't have any. The ball doesn't go through the goalie's hand every day. Serbia is extremely talented.
