The euro cup win has nothing to do with this tourney. Holland won the euro in 1988 as well. Spain is a choke nation at world cup tourneys but yes they have earned the right to play in the final and I give them that. The spaniards have choked on the world cup stage more than any nation ever with some of the best talent ever assembled. They were due to get past that hurdle. It would be good for soccer if holland wins as they have been the most consistent team at this tourney. A Dutch win in afrika would be justice.Comment -

Spain is a different nation form the past. This World Cup from Spains perspective has nothing to do with their history. I know it's their first final but they are a different team since 2007 when they started to win game by game. Sureley you noticed their run of 27 games with no loss?

Somehow missed this whopper of a thread. I'll post my thoughts here as well:
I bet 15-1 odds before the cup started for NED to win. I looked at their depth of talent on the field, and realized that they were one of the best teams from the back line to the top striker. Other teams may be more flashy, but NED have a high work rate, focus on possession of the ball, and execute smart set plays that they often capitalize on.
Plenty of bets out there for Spain, but I would rather go with the "underdogs" of Holland. They are undefeated going into the finals, knocked out the favorites of Brazil, and all their starters are healthy for the final match.
Spain lost their first game to Switzerland. No WC team has ever lost their first game in the cup and gone on to win the finals...Sometimes just have that certain something about them that carries the day—a swagger, an inner-confidence, a sense of team. I’ve been impressed, and I like the Orange.
