LB, I really hope you went and got some rest during this one. This was the biggest waste of time so far.

What do you guys think about the next one? Is there a chance the teams will play with a little more offence or is it going to be another like this one? It's 2am here and I don't want to stay up to watch a repeat of this. The only thing that kept me awake was listening to the announcers taking the piss out of these two teams.

The key to win this game was to dominate in the midfield and cut off all the passes to Eto'o. The Inter star doesn't create chances by himslef, he's a typical finisher. Japan did a great job out there.

Tommy, Eto'o can create his own chances whenever. Japan smothered him with 2-3 guys at all times, and he still was able to create a bit with all that attention. Wouldn't call a top 5 striker in the world a "typical finisher"
Cameroon's coach needs to bring Geremi in earlier. He's way too important to that midfield to be left on the bench for that long.

thats why i'm not gonna touch any of these types of matches in the first games until game 2's at least. they are too unpredictable.

I know all this. Im more into soccer that any other sport.
Look at Barca midfield, they delivered - he finished. He scored lots of goals but I don't rate him that much thou. We saw him vs Japan which is an average team. How can he cope vs bigger teams? Ive got my own criteria for top scorers. In games like that one vs Japan when the team is losing world class player must take responsibilty and draw or even win them by himself. He is not capable of doing this.
