Chile -1 (-106) to win 1 unit

I think that Honduras might be one of those teams that is just happy to be here. The team is short just like Mexico and Noel Valladeres, there keeper, is frankly not very good. There best player, Palacios is out for the World cup and I think this will just cripple a team that isnt that good in the first place. Chile's coach might be one of the smartest coach around and he really turned this team around. He likes to run this team a lot and they can be a high scoring team. Suazo might be one of the most underrated players in the whole cup. Bottom line I dont think Honduras will even be able to gaurd these guys. Should be a fairly simple game for Chile.

I like the Paraguay play. Italy are without Pirlo and De Rossi might be coming back from injury. It's one of those games that if Paraguay play well they actually win with the potential they have.

Ivory Coast is a solid play too, Drogba might be back to help them out, but I think Ronaldo needs to bring something special to save Portugal in this match.

Yeah with Portugal I really feel that Nani was the one that held this team together and him being out really screws this team

Finally got my first win. Took 3 days but hopefully this starts a nice little run. The Algeria/Slovenia game was bullshit. They both looked pretty bad and I should have gotten the push if not for a soft shot from outside the box rolling into the net right by the goalkeepers hands. Serbia, just a bad pick. They blew a few chances but Ghana looked like the better team getting a lot more chances at goals. They also clearly had the backing of the home crowd. Germany also proved today they are still a great team and they are here to win.

Spain/Switzerland

Gonna lay off this one, game doesn't really seem worth it. Torres won't be playing in this but David Villa can score goals just as well. I dont really like taking teams in soccer -1, let alone -1.5. But I think Spain will win this one rather easily

Uruguay pick -145 to win 1 unit

Maybe a bit too juicy but worth the risk. I find it hard to believe that a team like Uruguay will have trouble scoring 2 games in a row with the 2 forwards they have. The defense looked solid against France and they didn't give up a lot of chances. South Africa just exposed a terrible Mexican defense and a Mexican team that blew at least 3 goals just in the first half. At one point I seriously wondered if South africa can even string a pass together or if they could even get a throw in to one of there guys. Uruguay should take better advantage if they are allowed to run around like Mexico was and hopefully win it rather easily.

Went 3-0 today, finally had a good day evening my record out. Didn't see much of the games, will probably catch the highlights. Really wish Paraguay had finished off Italy

South Korea +1/+1.5 -115 to win 1 unit

I really believe that we see the Koreans play this game tough. Argentina got a goal in the very beginning of there first game and it seemed to completely deflate the Nigerians. But Nigeria got some great chances that they just didn't take advantage of in second half and towards the latter part of the game. Greece didn't register a shot till something around the 66th minute. S. Korea seemed to play pretty solid defense and they showed they can score goals against Greece who is considered to be a great defensive team. I'll admit this is a risky play, but with the way these games have been going I feel pretty good about a tight match up .

Nigeria -0.5 -110 to win 1 unit

After watching the S. Korea vs Greece game there is only two ways I see this game ending. Its either a win for Nigeria or a draw at 0-0. Greece didn't show any ability at all on offense. Nigerian goalkeeper Enyeama had a great game against Argentina despite a loss. Nigerian's had some great chances against Argentina but just couldn't seem to get the ball on target. With the offensive ability guys like Odemwingie (though he doesnt score a lot, he can create) and Aiyegbeni have I have to expect Nigeria to win this.

1-0 on Tuesday. Went from an 0-4 start to a 5-0 finish. Hopefully I can keep it going and there are not too many surprises Wednesday. Just like yesterday, didn't see a lot of game today.

France -0.5 (+138) to bet 1 unit

I really hope I don't regret this because I've been a French hater when it comes to soccer for a while. They didn't get a lot of chances against Uruguay but they totally shut down Forlan and Suarez. They had a couple of chances that they just couldn't take, particularly the Ribery ball in the very beginning of the game. This is more of a bet against Mexico rather then a play for France. The team was not good defensively on Friday. They let a South African team, who could barely string a pass together run free on a couple of long balls. There defense isn't that good. There set pieces and keeper isn't very good either. Theres a few key injuries as well. Just don't trust this team and I think that France beats this team 1-0.

Germany -145 to win 1 unit

Hopefully there game against Australia wasn't just a mirage. The team seemed to be clicking on all cylinders offensively and defensively. They always historically play well in the World cup and it doesn't look like thats gonna change. Serbian defense played decently well for most of the game up until the handball. The offense though wasn't there like I was hoping it would be. I think Serbia simply just doesn't have the offense to beat a team like Germany.

US/ Slovenia

Gonna totally avoid this game because I've had a bad feeling about it since the draw. Slovenia is a defensive minded team while the US is kind of questionable up front. I don't think Slovenia gonna score any goals but I can for sure see a 0-0 draw, hopefully not though.

Algeria/England

Avoid this one too, even though I think England should cover the spread

Australia +0.5 (-111) to win 1 unit

I think a lot of people will disagree with me here but I don't see it in this Ghana team. They did a pretty good job throwing Serbia off its game but they once again did what theyve been doing for a couple of years now, not scoring goals. If not for a handball in the box it finishes a 0-0 game. Australia despite a 4-0 loss to Germany, has a pretty decent defense and keeper. I think they can play a lot better then that, even without Cahill. I expect a 0-0 draw in this one, especially with how low scoring all these games seem to be this year.

Netherlands -1 (-116) to win 1 unit

Not a lot to see here other then Japan seemed to be lucky to win the game against Cameroon on one shot in the entire first half which happened to go in. Robben will be coming back for the Dutch and this team is always a huge offensive threat. Can't see them losing, or draw here, even though I did expect them to play better against Denmark. A win here also locks them up for the next round, expect a great game from them

Paraguay -0.5 +110 to bet 1 unit

This is kind of my dark horse team. Slovakia had numerous chances to put away a pretty dismal New Zealand team and couldn't do it. Paraguay is a giant killer, they beat teams like Brazil and Argentina last year and held off Italy for most of the first game. Think they win this one.

Denmark pick -128 to win 1 unit

These African teams have really disappointed so far, scoring a grand total of 2 goals out of 5 teams in the first round of games. Cameroon let a not so good Japanese team take advantage of them. Denmark, if not for a couple of horrible defensive gaffe's are right in it. The team is a veteran squad with a veteran coach, if not a draw, I expect them to win.

Brazil -150 to win 1 unit

This will get Brazil into the next round if they win this game. Brazil had 20+ some shots, over 20+ crosses. They just couldn't get the ball on target. Ivory Coast didn't look capable of much. Drogba will be back, but you don't even know how hes gonna play. The African teams have all pretty much looked subpar so far this tournament.

They played pretty well against Honduras, but the main factor is that Switzerland will be missing there best player in Frei. I think they got a few lucky breaks against Spain and thats why the line is at +130, like the value on this one. Also the goals are finally starting to come for this World Cup

Playing the numbers here. Only 2 teams have beaten another team by more then 2 goals so far in this World Cup. I think Spain will win this game but they will just irk it out. Spain looked kind of weak defensively. They had there chances to tie the game against the Swiss but blew it. I say Honduras keeps it tight the whole way and Spain wins 1-0.

This seems like it might have sucker bet written all over it but I'll go for it. South Africa didn't really play well against Uruguay and they have lost there starting goaltender, but the final game in front of there home crowd will sure at least let them hold on for a draw. While France has no chemistry, no teamwork. You hear about players fighting each other and they all hate the coach. They haven't scored in forever and I don't think that really changes here.

African teams have really struggled so far in this tournament. Nigeria hasn't taken advantage in there games so far. They could have easily drawn against Argentina. They played poorly defensively again Greece. I think South Korea wins this, or worst case draws.

Yeah I'm betting with my heart but this is a must win and there is NO reason they won't win this other then them ****ing themselves

I think this team is somewhat solid and Serbia is somewhat lucky. Serbia didn't look good offensively against Ghana. They got what looked like extremely lucky in the Germany game. Germany came up with a ton of chances even with just 10 men. Germany shot themselves in the foot really. Australia will get Cahill back and they will hopefully have 11 on the field the whole game. I see Australia giving this team a run for its money

Germany -1 (-119) to win 1 unit

Great offensive team. Podolski needs to get his shit together. They should have at least drawn against Serbia and blew a lot of chances including a PK. As we've seen, African teams are struggling. Ghana got lucky with a PK, and Australia was in the game the whole time even though they only had 10 men on the field. I see Germany at worst winning this one 1-0 if they take advantage of what they are given, and I think it iwll be a lot of shots.

Italy has not played well this World Cup. They've lost there starting goaltender which will always affect a team. The team is too old and worn out IMO. They got lucky to draw with New Zealand as well on what looked like a BS penalty call. The problem with Slovakia is that they don't take advantage of there chances and have random defensive laps. I think that worst case with the way the Italian offense has played, Italy wins this 1-0 and I take the push on this one, but I'm hoping to see a draw and I think that probably happens.

Denmark looked pretty bad against Cameroon and the Dutch on defense. They looked sloppy and they let Cameroon have tons of chances. Japan stayed in the game with the Dutch and I think they are probably the better team in this situation. Japan doesn't get a ton of offensive opportunities but I think with how the Danish defense has been playing we will see something from the Japanese and they win this game and advance.

Love this line and think the books are way off on this one. Portugal did beat N. Korea 7-0 and Brazil only beat them 2-1. But Portugal has to be one of the most overrated teams in the world. Brazil has more fire power then Portugal and I think Nani is a huge loss for Portugal and he is the X-factor for them.

Not a great team but neither is Switzerland. They got a bit lucky with Spain but this team isn't very great offensively. I could see them winning this game but I can't see it being anymore then 1-0 and I'm willing to take the push in this situation.
