It may be harder to repeat these days, because it's no longer truly a national champion's league, as before, and now includes most top teams from Europe every single year. The competition is stiffer. But it's still just a fluke. Ajax came within a hair in 1996. They lost on penalties to Juventus. (This result wouldn't even have been possible earlier. Bayern Munich won it's first EC-1 in 1974, after equalizing very late in the final. The game was then replayed.)

So while it may be harder to repeat than it was in the past, the idea that it would be some sort of hidden truth is based on a very small sample size.

BTW, teams that win the EC1/CL, or key players from those teams, tend to do very well a month later for their national teams in either the World Cup or European Championship. The experience and confidence of winning at the highest level carries over. So if Barca wins, watch out for Argentina.

Barca look too obvious and i believe they will go out to Inter. Bayern is in the final already- lyon is wasting there time. Bayern is a team of destiny. There unlikely key goals up to now have convinced me they will take it all. Teams dont go down 3-0 at Old Trafford and score 2 goals and go thru. Bayern also had the drama in fiorentina and the drama at home over utd. This team is very good and in a one game show down i truly believe they can beat any of the sides remaining. As we all know its very hard to repeat and although Barca look on course i think Inter will disrupt that route and that will pave the way for Louis Van Gaal's side.

Barca got rid of Lyon easily like i said. My only concern is no Ribery for the final unless they win the appeal but they wont win it.

Im not considering myself as an expert but im gonna chime in my 2 cents. Bayern really believed in themselves that they can do good in Europe after going past Man United. Suddenly they started winning their matches like 7-0, 4-0 etc includnig German Cup (4-0 win over Bremen on the neutral pitch). It was obvious to me they will go to the final seeing Lyon off.
On the other hand Inter have what it takes to win it all. This is Mourinho's year, another Italinan championship along with a cup. The special one tried to win the Champions League with Chelsea couple of times and failed to do so. Now he's claiming that this CL final is more important than World Cup final (funny) but that says how seriously he takes it.
In my opinion that is gonna be close game, They'll try to feel each other out first and if they dont score at the begining theres goona be low scoring match.
The chances are 50-50
