hard to say if that's the best, but for sure those names are impressive.
Messi -best player of the world with no doubt
Higuain - great striker, great scoring ratio at Real Madrid
Milito - fast, great for counterstrikes
tevez - also fast, is having a great season at City
Aguerro - maybe that's the time he fnally makes the big step forward, very talented player

I can think of national teams with 2 or maybe 3 but not 5 or 6 players that play at a great level

To me they surely need to prove themselves at a World Cup to be considered as any of the top sets of forwards. That is how greatness is determined. They have passed the club level test, but they need to do it with the national side as well - and they surely have not at this stage.

Funny I was thinking about this the other day , Maradona also seem to like Martin Palermo, and they got Lavezzi.

That is what I'm saying Jimmy - they need to do it. It's crazy to name them the best strikers ever in the world cup before they have even played in one.

the problem remains the same - too short- cant do headers. will struggle against top defensive teams who have big powerful central defenders- as an argentina fan this is the thing that bothers me the most. they havent had a real good striker with size since batistuta and caniggia.

It's too bad Pellegrini left coaching Argentina, he could have won the WC last time if it wasn't for that bad beat against Germany. That Pellegrini team put up like 20 something passes before they scored a well created goal. Now Argentina has a stronger team and by beating Germany 1-0 in the recent friendly they are showing they can at least win against big sides with Maradona as a coach.

Maradona was short too... but maybe the game is more physical these days, like most sports...?

While the Argentinian attack may be short, they do have a lot of quality and will be looking to play with the ball on the ground. Great attack, but unfortunately, Maradona will monumentally **** up with his team selections.
forgetting Palermo here, he will be on the plane to South Africa 100% as long as he is fit lol

Impressive array of strikers for that side. Remains to be seen if the tactics of Maradona as a manager will be their achilles heel.
