For so many years , this was a no brainer for Real coming home down a goal. MBappe , Messi , Neymar , Di Maria , Gueye , Veratti , Icardi......

NO WAY NO HOW will i ever bet against a team that can field that sort of line up. Real Madrid are capable of beating anyone, anytime , but Casemiro is 30 , Isco 29 and Lucas is 30......those are the supposed " young players " .....Kroos 32 , Modric 36 , Benzema 34 , Hazard 31 ( if hes healthy enough ). This team was assembled to win The Holy Grail of football They have my respect

Liverpool were 2 - 0 winners in Italy a few weeks ago , in large part to a solid back 4 that is nearly impossible to penetrate ( Inter did not get a shot on goal ). Pool have now put a string of 13 straight wins in all competitions and have a very healthy side to choose from. Inter finally broke a goalless spell of 4 straight games by beating pub side Salernitana 5 - 0. With a win essential in England , Inter will be susceptible to plenty of counter attacks by Pool.

This morning the line for Marseille -1 was 1.83. I really didnt expect Marseille to field their top players today , so i was waiting on the starting line ups . Payet , Under , Milik , Gendouzi......all except Gueye who is out on yellow card accumulation. The line on this one has moved away from me since the line ups were announced ( -1 is now in the 1.55 to 1.60 range ). Basel are a team that sees soccer more as a business then a game. They continue to sell top players once their value has appreciated enough for them. Winning is no longer a top priority. Taking a punt on the much better side finding some early success

The only draw back to backing Pool is the fact they have played a lot of games in a very short period of time. They went to pk's vs Chelsea in the EFL Cup , then played Norwich in an FA Cup tie days later , followed up with a win over West Ham in league play on 3 days rest, and eventually looked a bit lethargic against Inter Milan. That said , they are fielding a very strong line up at Brighton today , and need to win in order to keep pace in the title race with Man City
