General soccer question re: parlays

In soccer, are Side/Total parlays generally accepted? Or are they taboo? Thx.

Pretty sure I have either played that sort of parlay or seen others do it in the past though. So surprised all those books I checked don't do it now.

they would get their clocks cleaned with barca and over real and over man city and over bayern and over liverpool and over i noticed even our own SBR Sportsbook uses a ton of asian lines for totals so they cant be put in parlays

That's what I bet today... Liverpool + Over 2.5. Now I'm wishing I put a hell of a lot more on it

I can't see the correlation.

Why would they get their clocks cleaned? If the over so obvious would they not get cleaned out on that as well?


Obviously I am missing something if books stop it, but anyone know the math reason why?

im sure somebody around here knows it sure would be nice if was avaliable would love parlay under 2.5 w the draw in certain low scoring leagues hope for a 0-0 or 1-1 result and make well over 4-1 on ur bet seems like a way cut down juice taking heavy favs that score alot goals barca pool real usually when they win in league play its by a big margin

I remember when a thread was started about correlated soccer parlays years ago, someone who I'm pretty sure worked at a book said that if they do offer the u/o + ML option, that the book would be minimising its exposure elsewhere to offer these options. I'm pretty sure someone else in another thread said at one point that books don't like offering these in soccer specifically because they do tend to hit more often than say the NBA/NFL. I know that's not mathy but that's all I've got haha

Gosh what a trip down memory lane to some posters I've missed seeing around here. I think I need to start taking advantage more of SportsbetAU offering this... they actually offer quite a few same game parlays in soccer depending on what you want to bet. I just don't follow it that closely enough which is my problem.

Or go to the library to do school projects, even in university?! I remember thinking we'd hit the bigtime when Encarta Encyclopedia came out for computers. Those four CD-ROMs seemed like voodoo magic run by some witch who knew everything about everything

As stated above most of the euro/asian books offer ml/total combo bets. For instance yesterday I bet Liverpool ml/over 1.5 @ 1.65. Matches involving high scoring dominant teams are heavily juiced, so no clocks getting cleaned generally speaking.

is there a place you can parlay draw with under if you really like draw in a game why not parlay w under 2.5 more likely a game ends 0-0 or 1-1 than 2-2

Seems kind of obvious when it's explained. Should have thought of that myself.

The lower the totals are, the higher is the correlation with the moneyline.

F.inst. Man. U to win the game is perfectly correlated with O 0,5 goals.

Because the totals in NFL are so high, i suppose the bookmakers allows you to parlay ML and totals because they believe the correlation is minimal.

I dont think any books will let you parlay ML and totals in soccer. If you do find any, I will sure be glad to know which one.

lots of school projects using encarta remember also taking typing class freshman year all we had at home was a word processor and for homework we had to type bunch of lines mostly all the same letters i was such a dumbwit i actually typed everything out didnt figure out copy and paste

BetOnline actually does offer these parlays, but only under the Player Props section. It's limited to major leagues (UCL, EPL, EFL, La Liga, Serie A, Liga MX). Almost seems like they're trying to keep it a secret.

5Dimes offers the same leagues under their Bet Builder, but they don't allow ML/totals from the same game to be parlayed. A few weeks ago 5Dimes actually allowed parlays from the same game, but after a few of them hit I was told they don't allow it anymore. Not sure if I was the only one restricted or if it was a site wide thing.

PS, that's sort of what I expected. Yes, Barca is an example. If they score well...they go over the total on their own and normally cover the handicap line.

Same thing in a low-scoring game. 0-0 or 1-1 type game means that Dog/Under usually tied together.
