Scolari`s Guangzhou is out already and Felipe is intended to give game time to 3 youngsters - Liao Lisheng, Li Yuanyui and Xu Xin. they are missing Brazilian Paulinho in midfield and Jackson Martinez still injured. all in all they are still champions and a strong team at top of table in Chinese league. Sydney missing Alex Brosgue and Matt Simon, otherwise they have full squad and well rested and prepared for this game, as they fly in on saturday to get of jet lag and going for 3 points to top a group and not to face FC Seoul in knockout stages.

Home side has full squad, with Archie Thompson set for return. Gamba has plenty problems .. in their squad and in their performance this season. they only managed one home win so far, will be missing defender Diki Niwa and Keisuke Iwashita is doubtful or nowhere near top form. and striker Takashi Usami most likely will be changed for Brazilian, Patric.i would say their best player Endo at 36 will find it hard to drive his team for any result today, Melbourne to make history...

Shanghai have left their some of best players at home - Elkeson , Dario Conca and Asamoah Gyan. home side pretty much in must win situation, but i think odds are too short against high flying Shanghai even thou they are less motivated and missing best players. neither home side at home have beaten anyone by more than 2 goals in last ten games neither away side has lost away by more than 2 goals in last 10 games... handicap for away + 1.5 ...is @1.77 ... but i`ll go for visitors to find a net against what could be open home side here...
