Fener did the job, it was a rowdy game and some crowd troubles but at the end their quality shone through. They won the game 3-1 but were not as impressive as Galatasaray, however, they will get the results out of sheer competitiveness with their rivals.

The reason he probably did that is because he didn't believe he could win in the first place. Especially in Spain. He didn't want to get blown out and make a fool of himself. It's just that simple. So he just wanted to keep the game at a low score at least.
