He's inherited an average team though so its not all his fault and i think they realise tht, as do the fans which is why i think they are just writing this season off as a transitional period then will start again next season. Not his fault tht two best players have been injury prone as well. Only big error on his part is his involvement in wanting fellaini and paying over the odds for him.

Hmm, Van Persie still being injured is his fault by getting him back in too early last December. Rumors about him and VP not getting by are getting stronger and stronger. Wouldnt surprise me if VP leaves after this season, when Moyes starts his shopping spree.

Team lacks creativity, that is obvious. Scholes (despite bing old) was always one of my favourite players of all times, the guy had the special something. They have no guy who simply "rules" the midfield. Or at least a guy like Özil, who may be invisible the whole game and suddenly creates the special magic to initiate a goal. The midfielders they have are all fine players in my eyes, but they need a big boss. I'd think if they'd have a player like Özil, Götze, Thiago, Vidal (f.e.) the same team would play far better. What I don't get is Kagawa.... The kid is a great player. Give him confidence and he can make a big difference. That is my honest opinion. It's not like he suddenly lost his magic. But he is the kind of player you have to tell: "Look, I trust in you. It doesn't matter if you have 3 bad games in a row, you'll still start the next game and I know you will kick it". Kagawa is a player that needs that (like Özil), that was one of the reasons he did fit so well with Klopp.

All very true... Imo they made a mistake not long ago by not acquiring Sneijder! Kagawa could also play that role but Sneijder has got that something something extra.

Compared to chelsea, man city, and arsenal i think so. They all added quality to their team, while man u added fellaini!

Feyenoord +½ @ Ajax, 1.86 (3x)

Feyenoord have proven to be in great shape as of late, with Pelle as their big man. I was not really impressed by Ajax last sunday against PSV, in a game that PSV shouldn't have lost if they just made some of their chances in the 1H.

Tonight will be a hard fought battle, which could well go into overtime imo.

Well, this game was almost a copy of the match against PSV. First half hour Feyenoord was the better side, taking the lead and missing some good oppurtinities for a second goal. After that, it was all Ajax. 3-1 ending, not winning the bet but a great night for me either way.

Let's get this thread going again, got some picks this weekend for the Dutch League.

Roda JC -0.5 vs. NEC, +130

NAC Breda +0.5 vs. Vitesse, +107

Go Ahead Eagles +0.5 vs. FC Twente, +135

FC Groningen +0.5 vs. Feyenoord, -108

Got a feeling this weekend will be full of upsets in the Eredivisie. Roda JC needs a home win bád to avoid being on the last place any longer. Who better to host than NEC? Even though NEC has been decent lately, I expect Roda JC and their home edge to be able to take it.

NAC and Go Ahead are kind of the same stories; at home they are pretty hard to beat and don't suffer much losses. Vitesse and Twente both haven't played very well as of late, have lost Ajax out of their sight and face difficult away matches this weekend.

Lastly Feyenoord withouth Pellé = no goals. Groningen will play a tough game on them, just like they did in their home draws against Ajax and Twente.
