That was even nervous than the full bet with my hedge. I had under 2 and with all of those chances to push it I was freaking out. So glad that it ended like that. Sorry for everyone that took the over and didn't hedge. Honestly expected a lot more from Costa Rica. PHEW is all I can say about that game for me.

#495I like Panama ML, I want to look at the Mexico matchup more though. May be safer to take Mexico -1 and deal with maybe getting a push. Martinique doesn't have much to play for at this point and Mexico is finding their form after the last game.Originally posted by cogiditopapaShit happens, o well moving on.... #496i have been playing a lot of crazy +600 alt lines on overs in these games. a lot of crazy +900 draws and even betting underdogs straight up. when those sank i have been playing a lot of underdogs with crazy numbers like +3.5/4 goals etc. these are winning.
gotta break up your routine a bit or you won't be betting long.
just my advice. i could have bought two decent cars, a boat and a nice big hdtv with how much i lost so far (only including offshore). so i would ignore my advice playing dogs plus goals and just focus on:
break up your betting routine from time to time

#499@ biff I'm not so sure if it's about routine as much as it is about diversity of your bets. It's like the stock market in your way, the more bets you make the less risky (in a way) your day is, because some can cover, some may not, but risking everything on 1 bet is certainly not the way to go.
As far as the games we have today, I don't think there is anyway you can bet on Canada, and I like the under in that game as well. Also my line right now for Martinique is +1.5, but I'm going to wait it out and see if maybe people will jump on Mexico and push it to 2, which I would then definitely take Martinique.Comment -

#500It's Canada that doesn't have anything to play for, they can't advance. Martinique will advance with a win, and they rank 1st among third place teams, subject to change of course. That said I don't see any value with Mexico, they're too damn inconsistent and I don't trust them to win by two (-1 is -166 @ 5Dimes). As of now I'm passing. Love to see Martinique knock them off, no offense to those on Mexico.Originally posted by olemissbydamnI like Panama ML, I want to look at the Mexico matchup more though. I'm on Panama ml +104. Don't know what the books see with Canada but I'll take Panama at plus money all day long. They still have a reason to play, group winner gets a better matchup next round (in theory anyway). Also threw a little on -.5/-1 + 139.
Good luck to everyone.

#503I think Canada is due to score and I am not sure Panama can score easily vs Canada. Canada has nothing to lose so they should come out to redeem themselves.Originally posted by swordsandtequilaIt's Canada that doesn't have anything to play for, they can't advance. #504Should amend that statement; Canada can advance by claiming one of the two 3rd place finishers to qualify, although it will take an act of whatever god you believe in to do so. #505Canada's team is a bunch of kids. They haven't won a game yet and these players are not experienced enough to be resilient. They are missing their best players, and know they pretty much have no chance of being that 3rd place team in the group that advances. I am thinking either draw or Panama, but I do not believe Canada will best them. For a team not expected to do all that much in the Gold Cup, going undefeated in group stages would be quite a feat for the Panamanians.Originally posted by frugalgamblerI think Canada is due to score and I am not sure Panama can score easily vs Canada. #506Panama scored 2 against Mexico, 1 against Martinique and has 1 goal against. Canada is scoreless and gave up 2 and 1, respectively. Obviously small sample size and no guarantee, but plus money against a bad team doesn't make me want to bet the other way. Which means Canada will probably win 3-0Originally posted by frugalgamblerI think Canada is due to score and I am not sure Panama can score easily vs Canada. #507Kids can play with abandon. I am not gang-ho on Panama ML. Ditto with Mexico; no teams looked consistent, except for USA and believe it or not Haiti (you know they will be playing open soccer in every match). #513Well technically I hedged my draw bet by taking Panama -.5 because I can't see Canada winning. I just didn't think it made sense to post both plays, but I guess I should since I made it also.Originally posted by OSo I have about 3.5K IF Panama hits from a Multitude of parlays. EDIT: I did it like this because the DNB had too much juice. I'm pretty much playing a Panama Win No Bet in a sense that I win more money from a draw and lose a little bit if Canada should shock me here.Comment -

#520What a f*king joke. Actually started pulling for Canada to net one late, would have served Panama right. Poetic justice when coaches over-think and get bit in the ass. US should be ashamed of themselves if they don't steamroll these teams, much less win it.Comment -

#521Yeah disappointed I hedged the full draw but still came out +.9 units so I'm ok with it.
Martinique +1.5 seems the way to go for me, I already fired it in. We REALLY don't know what form Mexico is in a 2-0 win over Canada doesn't mean much. Martinique is watching the goal differential and will pack it in and try to slow the game down like they did against Panama and if Mexico falls in that trap they might be able to be caught on a counter. If Mexico keeps the pace of the game fast it will be interesting to see how Martinique plays they are certainly talented and athletic enough but around that 70th minute is when that fast place can sometimes get to you if its still 0-0 by then. Mexico using attacking formation, almost the same as they've used the whole tournament.Comment -

#525Shame after such a great save the keeper gets no help from his defenders so one gets by. Martinique has looked dangerous though thought they should of had a goal with some of the chances but sometimes that's how it goes. HT lines will be interesting to look at depending how the rest of this half goes.Comment
