Wondering why American football games BALL markers now show the position on opponents side of the 50yd line as the possession teams yd marker.

Michigan State has the ball.... BALL: Michigan State 35 When the ball is on Miami side of the 50.
When did this change?

I have been monitoring games for 40 years... don't recall ever seeing this happen...

Is it a computer progam issue, or are sports now woke too?
