Well, back to my original question, (and Dustty I taught primarily 11th and 12 grade students and even a few courses at university level) what alternative to a fckin wall would be a better alternative than threats to a friendly neighbor, a wall that will eventually fail and anything else this orange asshole can produce.

I have given plenty of hints and I have calculated this on the rights claim that the southern border is a national emergency. Maybe on par with the Civil War, WWI, WWII, the depression, the dust bowl and a few other national emergencies.

Last hint, what do we know historically about Germany, Japan and Iraq that bears witness to my point in this thread. I am expecting a flood of correct answers--finally.

and btw this solution will not only eliminate most of the illegal immigrants from Mexico, but it will also create a southern buffer zone for US protection, it will greatly improve the quality of life for Mexico and their people, it will reduce the crime and drug lords in Mexico, it will increase the GDP of Mexico, and Mexico can become a shining example of what is possible in that part of the world, including C America and even South America.

Just like the USA, primarily the USA with some help from our allies rebuilt Germany, Japan and Iraq to some extent, well that would be a solution for Mexico. You can't claim it is too extreme because you claim this is a national emergency. If the USA with the cooperation of Mexico would send tens of thousands of experts, especially in law enforcement to rebuild Mexico. To teach them everything they need to know about a liberal democracy. Small l for you idiots.

Mexico is plagued by too much corruption, too many vicious gangs, too much drug production and it could be stopped. With a real cooperative effort by Mexico/USA our southern neighbor could become a shining example of democracy with real rule of law and a real set bill of rights.

You may ask how will this help, well the truth is illegal immigrants are mostly running away from poverty or extreme violence. That is why over 90% of these people are running to the USA. They want their family safe and secure. So do you? If Mexico can turn the corner legislatively, politically, socially and economically these people would have no reason to leave their home. It is a win/win.

Think about what we did in Nazi Germany after the war, we turned a vanquished nation into a powerhouse in less than 20 years, same thing happened in Japan. And the good part about this story is we had to foot most of the bill, with Mexico that wouldn't be the case. Much better long term solution than a wall and taxes that will only hurt everybody. and in the end will fail.

Helping nations with their cooperation building into a liberal democracy based on capitalism is a win win.
