Teach morality. We have a culture problem in this country.

We need to teach this to rid ourselves of the Socially Sanitized Excepted Evil: Anything you don't abuse is good, anything you do abuse is bad, and anyone who abuses you is evil(don jr. will tell you so) to solve our culture problem. Because it's illegal doesn't mean its immoral(victimless crime?) and being legal doesn't make it moral. Stop hurting good people and creating criminals under the guise of safety,morality and legality(lot of money in that justice system to be made on mistakes and sorrows of others) The first law: Obey or die(ugly beginning for law and order and morality).

My first thought was I guess trump wish that is one of obama's edicts he didn't swipe a pen to. Remember Grassley sponsored a bill allowing it easier for a mental to get a gun. This idiot(the shooter) had 30 visits by the police for mental issues while his mom was alive. The alphabets are asking for the white house to show that signing but so far the they aren't budging.

Can't talk about this now, it is entirely too early. How dare you bring up this shooting now. We need time to pray. And get those socialistic schools teaching our students by mostly heathens to teach morals. That should do a great job of eliminating guns from crazy people. Just teach them that it is wrong to shoot people. Then pray about it. This is an easy problem to solve.

We don't need no stinkin government sticking their nose in our personal business, so we kill some kids once in a while. Just teach them not to kill because it is a sin.

Allow me to introduce myself, I'm a Ron Reagan republican, now before anyone prejudges me as a right winged nut job, I have crossed party lines numerous times when I thought the opposing candidate was more qualified or whose political opionions lines up with my views.

I am not a card carrying member of the NRA, I can live with them, I can live without them.
Personally I believe no ordinary citizen has the need for an AR- or an AK- automatic.
I own a hand gun, it's in my home for my families protection.
It's always secured. I have that right to own my legal pistol for home security reasons.

Like I mentioned I have the right to own a legal pistol, I don't have the right to own an automatic rifle or facsimile.
Now you can make the most stringent laws banning the automatic for ordinary citizens, up to and including the death penalty for possesing one, it probably would deter these situations, but will not end them all together.

Trust me, I worked numerous years in the belly of New York City, I have seen first hand if one wants something bad enough, one will get it.
Coke, dope, hookers, guns, whatever. If a nut job want an AK bad enough he or she will find it, if not one will build it.

The question to me my "gun loving friend" is before I answer I am not a gun lover, I own a gun for security measure.
I love my wife, I love my puppy dogs, I don't love my gun.
This is where you start, the automatics should be banned from retail outlets and gun shows and internet sales.
That is not that difficuit to enforce, however like I said cocaine is illegal, and junkies will find that if the junkie wants it bad enough.

The muckity mucks high up at the NRA feel that once the powers that be put a ban on such firearms it will not end there.
Yes they are paranoid, but the NRA feels that if they take an inch they will take a mie all the way down to banning legal pistols.

OK, it's Friday night, I have things to do.
To sum it up, you start by enforcing a stringent ban of these type weapon for sale.
I'm on board, however it will only slow things down a lot, not end it all together.
