Wade Phillips is the worst head coach ever.
He has no balls. He is clueless in his press conferences. He says, "Well a a a..." Duh. Man, you talk about the opposite of Parcells. That team needs someone to kick them in the ass and Wade IS NOT the guy to do it. He makes Norv Turner look like Knute Rockney.

That honor belongs to Dave Wannstedt. Remember, he ruined two teams.

Wade Philips was perfect for that Pepsi commercial he did last year. The one where he yawns when calling a play.

Phillips just doesn't get it. His rah-rah approach does not win in the NFL. He failed in Denver badly, did OK win-wise in Buffalo but choked in the playoffs and now he does the same act in Dallas.

It doesn't work when your head coach is jumping up and down on 1st downs and turnovers and field goals. He has to be thinking of the next play, not cheerleading. Yet he doesn't change his style of coaching and he'll be fired again.

He's not the worst, but he is a little too nice. Wade is only good enough to get teams into the playoffs, like he did in Denver, Buffalo, and Now Dallas but this guy is not championship material.

Some of the worst coach I've seen are usually the college one's trying to make it in the pro's. Guy's like Steve Spurrier, Dennis Erickson, and Nick Saban, just to name a few.

Wade's still better than Barry Switzer, but it's close.

Wade was hired precisely because he wasn't Bill Parcells. You see this all the time in pro sports...They bring in a hard ass (Parcells) to "bring discipline" and "hold people accountable". When the hard ass wears out his welcome (and he always does), they bring in a "Player's Coach" (Phillips). Now the inmates are running the asylum. The next thing that happens is...THAT'S RIGHT!!!! They fire the Players Coach and bring in the next hard ass to "bring in some discipline and hold people accountable" and the process starts all over again. Except in Dallas, it doesn't...because Jerry Jones is running the asylum...

Dennis was one of the best IMO.
Wade? Ask a Denver fan - or about the 'Music City Miracle' game where Rob freakin Johnson started. There's been enough written about his ineptitude as a head coach in Buffalo or Denver. He's simply one of the worst of this era.

I think Wade Phillips and Norv Turner are actually very similar. Both have proven to be excellent co-ordinators in the NFL. Both have proven to be no better than mediocre as head coaches...

Wade can't sniff Barry's jock strap. Both coaches came into a situation with a ton of talented pro-bowlers, Barry won a Super Bowl and Wade can't even win a playoff game. Now Wade has run the Cows into an 8-8 or 9-7 team struggling to make the playoffs.

he's not a good coach no doubt

but there is not as much talent on this team as everyone keeps saying

last year was a fluke they won 4 or 5 games they should have lost

giants wk 1, bills, vikings, redskins, lions panthers

got lucky on fluke plays in those games

this was a 8-8 team last season thats what they will be this season

Dallas really has a heart issue - which is from the leadership on the team. Who is the team leader down there? They play like a bunch of front runners - and so many of them talk so much trash. Patrick Crayton talking trash? Are you serious?

That team needs a Ray Lewis kind of guy (heck, all teams do) - you have to have someone to keep those egos in check and playing hard. I hate to say it, but not all of this is Wade's problem. he's the wrong guy for the job because the Boys lack leadership - especially with guys like TO running around and flapping his jaws. Frankly, Romo not playing says more about the team's leadership than anything. It's Romo's team - he should be playing no matter what. At least under the Tuna, you knew who the guy was - but on the other hand, now you see why his style may bring in the talent - over time it fades fast because he doesn't develop leaders - he develops hard workers that need leadership, of which Dallas has none.
