While I obviously can never complain due to the way things worked out for me - I would agree that perhaps the structure (especially towards the end) could be improved for next time. Yes it might make the tourney longer, but considering the amount we are playing for, having the Championship go say an extra hour, I tend to think the majority would prefer the extra play. I mean this time around, when we entered the final table basically the whole final table had <10BBs making it a total crapshoot.

Ways to improve it could be:

(1) Cap the blinds (say they go no higher than 2k/4k or perhaps 3k/6k)
(2) Longer blind levels once we get reasonably high (say the 200/400 level onward)
(3) More blind levels in general (add in stuff like 500/1000, 700/1400)


Just some constructive suggestions - certainly not meant as a complaint. I'd play basically no matter what the structure is!

Yeah congrats everyone, but I would agree with this. Once it got close to the cash (25 people left) I don't think the chip leader ever had that much more than 10 BB. The AVG stack had about 5 BB. Not a lot of moves at that point except fold/all-in and pray. The beginning levels were fine maybe even too slow but then it moved up really quickly fast. I would also suggest more blind levels. Again I was fortunate to cash (points not cash) but toward the end I really felt like it was more of a lottery than poker. Still thanks for a great promotion. I had fun with it and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Since we are throwing out suggestions, one of these times, I would like to see a Championship where instead of advancing to a final tournament, the prizes are awarded to the top finishers in the qualifying stages, like in the Sprint Cup.
