Texas Tech won't survive the Big12 schedule, so you might as well write them out of the equation right now.

I am personaly happy USC is only 7th. That weak ass schedule is not being rewarded.

I hope Tech makes it though the next couple weeks but I am not so sure that's going to happen.

Looks like Penn State vs Texas or Florida for national championship. I don't think Alabama can win out.

Like I said in other posts, Florida could overtake Penn State if they win SEC Champiobship. A one-loss Florida team is more worthy than an undfeated Penn State team. I think title game will be Florida vs. either Texas or Oklahoma. If neither of those Big 12 teams win out, THEN maybe Penn State.

This is a very exciting college football season, one of the best that I can remember.
Tech has a good shot at losing this week.

How can Penn State not play for the BCS if they remain undefeated?
The computer likes undefeated Big 10 teams.

Hopefully, the polls will show common sense and actually ensure that the two best teams in the country actually face each other. Not that being logical is a strong suit for them. Besides, isn't SOS a component of the computer rankings?
Florida is the best team in the country right now and both Texas and Oklahoma would be favored over Penn State on a neutral field.

Not really. Penn St has nowhere to go but down in the computer rankings, and are fourth right now with Florida not far behind.

Texas Tech will lose a game, Alabama, I don't know.
Penn State wins out, they play for the BCS, pretty simple there.

No, not that simple at all. Read the two posts directly above yours by element and myself. If Florida wins out, they pass Penn State even if Lions go undefeated. If Texas or Oklahoma also win out, then BCS Championship will be Florida vs. Texas/Oklahoma. If anyone else wins Big 12, THEN Penn State probably gets in.

Penn State is 3rd, not 4th.
Sorry, I just don't see a 1 loss team jumping an undefeated Penn State in the BCS, ESPECIALLY in the coaches poll.
What coach would vote a one loss Urban over an undefeated Joe Pa??
What win will propel Florida over Penn State? The Citadel???

They already have more quality wins than Penn State, and the SEC Championship Game should seal the deal.
