If that were true there would be only two records a team could end up with 16-0 ,0-16.Nobody in this thread is asserting that.The packers/bears game didn't really disprove anything.People on Baltimore believe that beating a good team (cincy)is more indicative of being a good team than squeaking out a win vs a very poor team (clev).The guy who said betting based on previous results will get you buried is right-doesn't that also mean that Baltimore's road record last year is irrelevant this week.

I only suggested there was bias in bettor's minds for Week 2 based on Week 1 results, not the rest of the season. You don't think that last night was a classic example of people over-valuing a team of a strong Week 1 performance? Did you not see the hordes of people in love with the Bears before the game started, calling for value on Chicago?

Baltimore looked solid against Cincinnati in Week 1, however the Bengals were seriously undermanned at cornerback in that first game. Flacco looked very good, but let's be objective here and admit that he was attacking CIN where they were weakest. A no-huddle offense will run right over a defense lacking depth. Added to that, Cincinnati didn't beat anyone good last year. They had a very soft schedule where they were able to get some wins against some bad teams, leading to a 9-7 year, but when you look at who they played, the 9 win season looks a lot less impressive. Cincy isn't really a good team on the field... just on paper. Granted the Bengals are better than the Colts, but in many ways, Baltimore's win over Cincy was very similar to how the Bears were able to dismantle Indy in Week 1.

So for those looking at Baltimore getting +2.5 points as a value play, I think there is definitely a lesson to be learned in last night's game.

Jackson and Maclin are both set to start as of now. Cooper had no chance of playing at all as he's still injured. I've already made my play on the Eagles ML, and I'd be shocked if both don't start on Sunday at this point. In the event that one or both are ruled out, I would have to buy back at least part of the wager.

Yeah my money is on Baltimores ML. I think the Eagles get too much credit. Being a homer I can tell you they really arent that good. They can be explosive, but it all starts with Vick and the playcalling/coaching. And as a fan I KNOW Andy doesnt listen and will most likely abandon the running game (even though we have one of the best backs in the league) and put it all on the shoulders of Vick, who has been on a downward spiral ever since he had his "magical" half a season 2 years ago.

Eagles are a potentially dangerous team, and they could blow the ravens out and I wouldnt bat an eye...but the "smart" bet has got to be Baltimore IMHO. Especially now that the line has gone to 3.

vick is by no mean garbage, but is by no means a top tier qb in this league either... hes an average qb and so thats what should be expected of him.. average numbers much like a jay cutler (see thursday night)...

He can be amazing and win you games or he can look awful and single handedly lose you games.. as bad as he was last yr, he still gave this team a lead in all but one game he played.. Reid just needs to use him right aka build a gameplan around him like harbaugh builds around alex smith.. dont give him the keys to control the entire game, but also dont let him lose the game for you either

im a ravens fan...and i see baltimore winning outright but so many times they made it hard on them selves after an impressive performace...last year going all the way to the wire with arizona losing to tenn...i mean damn im all for flacco ....is this the year? i mean if he does go out and put up same # he did mon night then yeah we can say we got a new flacco...but we have yet to see flacco really perform big when hes been TALKED ABOUT in the media in consecutive weeks
