All I see on this forum is how you guys call NFL spreads one of the toughest things to beat. With that being said, wouldn't that make betting the moneyline favorite fairly easy to make money from?
Shouldn't betting NFL be easy?

Also, it's easier to win on College football than NFL.Comment -

#16if you have a huge roll and spot bet a good ML here and there it can be successful, but check out brock landers thread last weekend and you'll witness the exact polar opposite of how its done...betting 3 -500 favs in one weekend is like flushing money down the toilet...forcing yourself to go 3 for 3 is just plain dumbComment -

#17I think one of the biggest reasons why so few people make money betting on sports is because they don't understand the Lines. Especially the MoneyLines. For instance... New England is -800 this weekend against Arizona. It's seems like an obvious pick that New England will win right? But let's assume they played 100 times. How many times would New England have to win in order for you to make a profit? In other words... what percent chance do you think New England has of beating Arizona?Comment -

#28That's what I've been doing for the past year haha.
Haha, I might start a thread where I try to go from either $100 to $1,000 or from $1,000 to $10,000 depending on however much I feel like starting with. I would just place "large" bets on moneyline favorites between -300 and -600 or something. The wife doesn't really like me throwing money around though on this kind of stuff, so it might have to be $100 haha.Comment -

Lines too tight
League pretty even

#30another point to examine: each week there are X amount of college football games. College football, having so many games, is harder to monitor as a whole by the books- or another way to look at it, you can find the hidden gem a little easier with there being so many games. Every week in the NFL, there are much fewer games. They got those few games strapped TIGHT, and just when you think you have them, I'd advise you to bet the opposite of your guess =), all kidding aside, BOL- as long as its fun for you, then you are doing the right thing (excluding hard drugs that kill you overtime and excluding psychopaths that harm others for fun). cheers !!Comment -
