Even when you finally get out of North Carolina, you take a trip to hang out with three of the most gambling-forum obsessed people you could find on the Eastern seaboard. Take it from me, man: if your life isn't making you happy on a daily basis, the answer is not to make small tweaks to your methodology and hope the problem was there, but rather to blow the damn thing up and try something completely different, and take advantage of that spurt of excitement and energy we all get when we're doing something new.
