SBR HELP: What's up with the Quick Reply BOX?

Howcome sometimes the box appears to be filled with SBR home page or something? And doesn't allow me to type

It's really frustrating to have to click "reply to thread" when this happends...

its like 35% of the time...

about a month or so ago, Im running firefox on macbook

updated a few things, including the browser, so far so good...
