Tulane game.....That is the most unlucky thing ever.
Tulsa with 2 seconds left in the half and at Tulane's 40, decides to throw a ten yard pass for shits and giggles. They could have either thrown it in the endzone or ran out the half.

The play goes for about 15 yards and the Strong Safety might have ended up getting paralyzed on the play. He went straight down and they took him off in an ambulance with an IV in him.

I didn't see it but hope the kid is ok. This could happen on any play at any time.

The only thing they said in the second half was that he is breathing on his own. Nothing else.

Looks like it pushed his head down.

                    Compressed the vertebrae?

                    Good Lord let's hope not.

                    Terrible.

Stable right now. Sounds like a smart kid too... Cell and Molecular Biology major and paid his own way the first 2 years. Hopefully he recovers

either you didn't watch the play or just retarded, either way... the kid went helmet to helmet with his own teammate, not expecting it.... was gross looking and always cringe when I see this own team collision from defensive players... always makes me think of two DE/OLB going after the qb from each end.

Coaches need to teach these kids how to tackle with the head up. Every time you see this kind of an injury the guy puts his head down

                                    Not good....

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Tulane safety Devon Walker fractured his spine in a head-to-head collision with a teammate during a game in Tulsa, the team said Saturday.

A Tulane trainer said Walker also suffered a broken neck and a collapsed lung in the collision.

Walker was revived on the field and a tracheotomy was performed. Walker is in the emergency and trauma center at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
