Maholm coming off bad start against a streaking Phillies team, to face the mets who he has a 16 inning scoreless streak against, sets up for a dominate pitching performance. Braves are riding 4 out of their last 5 and should keep that confidence rolling today with a solid pitching/defensive effort.
Mets counter with J Niese who is 4-0 against braves with a sub 4 era. He is well rested coming off 7 days rest and is in a nice spot to bounce back after back to back loses.
Braves bats have been cold only winning last two games 1-0 as well.
Both starters should go 6+, and even if bullpens give up a run or two this one will stay under the number.
