sign in if you think fantasy football is a complete waste of time....
never cared for it myself.
would rather spend the time capping games and winning money.

Are you talking about the video game Final Fantasy? Not my type of game but why are you hating on it?

Takes up so much time. Instead of knowing a handful of teams well, you have to know the whole fukking league.
Guys I never heard of... now I have to care about robbert turbin (who?) and Matt Flynn (fukk, I don't even know who the Seahawks starting QB is).
Yeah, money v. time, fantasy is not worth it. This may be the first and last year I do it.

Do not play fantasy football. Rather concentrate on beating the number.

You are capping your team and you can win money at fantasy football. Any other reason?

Fantasy football HELPS capping games. There is a lot of research done. Waiver wires. Field turf. Matchups. Weather. Everything

Crusty, don't discount the nuanced knowledge fantasy football players have of the league.
I know way more about each and every team because of fantasy sports. It's one of the reasons I do well in NBA and NFL - yet struggle with MLB, as I cannot stand fantasy baseball.
It is basically dungeons and dragons on steroids for weekend quarterbacks, but that type of nerdy love for the game nets money at the book.

Agreed 100%.
If someone who knows football to begin with puts some time into fantasy - he will generate his own betting ideas and not rely on touts.
But what's totally unacceptable is anybody talking about their fantasy team - nobody cares at all.
And what's most reprehensible? Someone turning the channel from a game to check his fantasy player. That gets a smack to the head.

It is actually a good foundation to help someone find an edge in prop bets...
Something that is far more "beatable" than sides and totals that are decided by turnovers and penalties...
Yeah, Fantasy is a waste of time, about as much as ranting over $20 like it's a Rolex Watch...

I played it for 10 years up until last year....agree with many here that it just takes too much time.
There is so much fantasy info out there now...rankings, cheat sheets, draft kits, simulated drafts...there are 14 year-old girls out there winning leagues. lol

only way ill be interested in fantasy football again is when people are willing to join a league that actually takes knowledge of the sport to win and nothing else; not a good draft placement and hoping your team stays healthy

Not a fan of fantasy football.
Used to play fantasy baseball when I was 12.
VERY time consuming and my free time is precious, boys.

I agree. Why play in "Fantasy" leagues? These people obviously have way too much time on their hands.
Must be some underlying issues involved...

riff raff squares of the lowest kind play it. Those that wear jerseys, worship other men and follow their every move, dedicate their life to some "league" so they brag to their douche friends if they win. Ttwarrior is a savant at it, thanks

The closest I get to fantasy is serious prop betting, and offering fantasy styled bets to guys I know who like action and think they know the players. Most serious fantasy players are there for socializing, are losing bettors cutting their losses with fantasy, or guys whose wives won't let them use their money to gamble like men, soo they sneak into fantasy leagues to get their fix.

fantasy football is more of a social thing. you join leagues with friends/family and because of that aspect it is rewarding
agree its a complete waste of time if you're in leagues with strangers or play the weekly auction sites. time is better spent capping/doing almost anything else in the world

I do try to use certain tools from fantasy football to help me cap.
But that can be misleading as well.
Then again, you could be spending too much time on one thing over the other.
