Cant pick a winner...I give up
Anyone ever get into the mode where you just keep firing, and you know that no matter what you pick, whether it be -300 or +300 is going to be a loser?

Well Ive hit that stage, and have loaded up several small amounts on my C.C. like a fu(kin moron. Went on one nice run a few months back, but given it all plus some back. Demoralizing feeling knowing Ive lost my ability to gamble because I'm not patient, and bet too much of my bankroll. Everytime I take a break, I think I will have learned from my lessons and come back strong, but it never happens. As soon as a couple bad beats hit, the floodgates open.

Those of you that have good bankroll management and patience, I dont know how you guys do it. I'm fukkin weak.

      Just skimmed your post...

Noticed the words "credit" and "gamble"...

Believe it or not, this is at least half your problem...

You need a clear mind at all times to even have a fighting chance...

Get rid of the cards or the gambling...

Only a select few can handle this combo...

For me, I have to cash out frequently...not zero out the balance, but make sure that winnings are being shipped back to me. I have to see and feel cash frequently to keep me grounded, otherwise it's just digital numbers on a screen. GL!

            YA, it sucks!

Last night I had a brutal night, and chased with the damn Dodgers, and lost way way more then I can ever afford to lose.
All day I had the DBacks tapped.....but I backed out of that crap because I wanted the feeling of a more secure team after a brutal day, and figured I had that with Kershaw and the Dodgers.

Well Kershaw held up his part of the bargain, but the pen and offense killed me. I'm not blaming my stupid decisions on them, because its all my fault. I knew the second I submitted that devastating bet, it was a loser.....ever when I was up 3-1 in the 8th, I had a bad feeling.

The second I passed on the DBacks, I knew it was a winner. The way they won never would have happened if I bet on them.

Took NY Mets/St Louis under 7.5 for my last huge chunk......and they score 8. Wainwright sh!ts the bed, and hits a HR for himself. Fu(k me!

Naw....fresh starts won't be happening until at least 2013....which sucks because I miss out on football.
Sucks that I'm in a worse spot financially today then I was 5 years ago. Fu(k me!

damn, sorry to hear that. Have you ever had a decent roll backing your plays? For me, it makes the world of difference...gives me confidence and the clarity needed to fade the favs in good spots.

Not Really.......Im someone that usually bets to win $75-$100, and usually I don't take big favs.

Whenever my accounts have ever hit 4 figures....I usually take out at least half. Seems like I'm always risking 10-30% of my bankroll.....which I know is a terrible way to bet, and the pressure is always on.

You can imagine how disgusted I was losing over $300 on the Dodgers last night, and trying to work today on about 2 hours sleep.

You're not gonna quit gambling, you've made too many of these threads...

Just ditch the credit and post up with cash you have in hand...

At least that way you won't get buried to the point of no return...

As soon as you realize you wont win, your thinking changes.

Only way to win is to treat it like a business. Managing your BR is only one aspect of maximizing EG. Guys with very strict money management go broke all the time, it just takes longer.

Winning isn't near as easy as it used to be. A lot of the wells have dried up. There are some still producing but once you start winning, they start limiting.

Anyways, stop putting shit on your c/c. You're gonna end up paying 100x's the principal in interest over the next 10 years. So not only are you paying vig but your also payin interest on your c/c AND you have to pay just to collect your money. You'll have to hit around 57-58% just to break even

Bet for action or for fun, but keep it small. If you can't, you gotta move on. Would you take a few 100's out of your wallet each day and just burn them for fun? Your basically doing the same thing.

YA....Ive made many of these threads, usually give it up for 3 or 4 months, then get the itch again.
I may have exaggerated, havent really blown my credit that bad. Maybe 10 $50-$100 deposits in the last 6 months or so....still enough that it hurts someone not in the strongest financial position.

I guess I keep doing this because the thrill of getting paid is awesome. I just always seem to forget the sleepless nights and bad beats that make me insane.

yah, that was horrible...I watched that game too...I hade Pads +1.5 and thought my play was effed. Unreal they tied it up...once they tied, I snap bet Pads ML +210, confident that the Dodgers BP would give this up. Before these plays, I lost my Jays Orioles Under 8.5 and felt an urge to bet Dodgers ML or RL. Told myself no...watched the game and was fortunate to capitalize with a clear head. It's uncanny my ability and others, to take a losing side after losing a bet.

I do have an entry in a survivor NFL pool, and fantasy leagues.

I guess I will just have to occupy myself with that.

Before the Dodgers had that two run inning...Dodgers RL live in-game went up to +400ish. Have you ever considered making a bet and they trying to middle with the goal of minimal risk, high reward?
