cris weekly review for the week of 6/26
This week’s Review is being written just after my home country Australia was eliminated from the World Cup by a questionable penalty call. Surprisingly, Australia’s last two games had them seeing plenty of betting support, including mine unfortunately. Brazil +310 and Argentina +350 are still the two favorite teams to beat. It doesn’t seem to matter though what teams are playing in the World Cup with every game having lots of action.

The best option for us this week was the game totals. It didn’t seem to matter what was bet, it always seemed to go against where the money was. Second half action is increasing in popularity, and bettors can get some good value, especially on the favorites if the game is still tied at the halftime. Our best result in the World Cup this week was Argentina and Mexico tied at 1-1 in regulation. We had one side of the world betting the favorite Argentina, and the other side betting the big value Mexico, all in the regulation 90 minutes of play. Luckily for us, not many people bet the draw, and we had a great result. The best result for our customers this week was Germany’s 2-0 win over Sweden. I was surprised that Sweden didn’t attract more betting support than it did as just about the whole world bet on Germany!

Miami concluded the NBA season with a stunning series upset over Dallas. Dallas was a red hot 6 point favorite and the win price went for -260 all the way out to approximately -330 and with people still betting Dallas. Everybody was expecting a game seven, but not one of our bigger customers. He bet Miami straight up for a total of $30,000 at odds between +295 and +260. Congratulations to him as there was plenty of money on Dallas, so we were happy to pay him.

With the World Cup soccer on at the moment, it also seems to have boosted the everyday baseball betting. Many people seem to bet the World Cup games in the morning and lunch time and then play the baseball in the evening. Results are mixed, but it’s great to see the action especially with the All Star break just around the corner.

    Until next week,

I don't understand why these CRIS customers that bet 30-100k a game don't bet those MLs at Pinny or Mansion, losing out on an extra 10c plus of value.

I suspect it's because they're recreational gamblers with plenty of money in their pockets but not much head on their shoulders.

we have to remember alot of people are lazy and don't want
to go thru the hassle of opening another account so they
just stick with whoever their first sportbook is. And there
is another group who don't even realize their is any
          competing sportbooks around.
