I just put $120 on Nadal to win, and he retired. Don't I get my wager returned?? I play on 5dimes, and there has been many times I've been refunded in these situations. Can someone please help, I'm fuming!

#25dimes counts matches that complete at least 1 set, even if there is a retirement.
From their rules:
A "Walk Over Winner" (player concedes before a match) and matches which do not complete the first set are graded no action. Any match concluding after the first set is completed will be graded with the advancing player as the winner.Comment -

#5This link may help you if you are looking for a new book: http://rockefeller444.blogspot.com/2...s-betting.html
It has a table that shows which books count wagers after 1 set, full match, etc. However, it was posted in March, so it's possible a book has changed its policy since then.Comment -

#14hahaha.....no crap eh. I actually left 5Dimes for about a year, and just came back in the last month or so. Plus, I typically don't wager on tennis too often.Comment -

#15Got one worse than yours Rul8er
5dimes took my "rookie of the year" play on ,guess who,GREG ODEN in his rookie year .
It was still pre-season, and then wham, ODEN went down with an season ending knee injury .
Since the "rookie of the year " is based on Regular Season , I get refunded, right ?
Nooooo, not with 5Dimes,and I also liked to have blown my top !
Unreal, and a cheap way for book's to rip a player off !Comment -

#16stop whining, abehonest, that is the way any outright bet works. It has absolutely nothing to do with the book ripping players off.Comment -

You seem to know this is a standard rule ?
What happens if a NASCAR favorite get's the flu bug a day before a major race and can't make it ..do they [the books] also gobble up all the wager's on him also ?
Or a horse heading for the Kentucky Derby ,and he's goes lame before the race ?
Some insight Mr.MMM ?Comment -

#20With tennis there is NO standard rule. The lack of standards has killed many an arber on tennis. Where they have Nadal -180 and lucksack at +250..... nadal retires and is a loss and lucksack had to complete 2 sets to get the win. Read the F'n rules where you play. Don't cry about the rules cuz you didn't know them.
Don't call BS when your the dumb ass.Comment
