This morning I was heading back to my room at the Rio after an all-night session grinding when the people down the hall from me were putting out a pizza box from room service. I pretended to be digging for my room key until I heard their door click and sprinted back to check out what might have been discarded and lo and behold three untarnished slices of pizza were still in the box!

30 seconds of my time and I scored on a freeroll for my late breakfast!

Not sure understand all the negative comments The food was still good (obviously checked it out before I ate it) and hadn't been touched... (Well I think it was supreme and it appeared to be missing the mushrooms those might have been picked off )...

I was going to take a picture of my score before consumption but I was hungry at the time and my stomach won out...

Around $4.99 (unless I get comped) is usually my upper limit when I eating by myself and traveling (I did splurge and get the $7.99 steak dinner at Ellis Island the other day but an obvious steal)... But if people are going to discard perfectly good food (and I don't have get dirty in a dumpster retrieving it) why put out the money?

Anyone who has hung out with me knows this isn't true (although I still owe a meal to both Bobby (whom I tried to cash in several times since he picked up a meal with me but our schedules haven't lined up) and my mentor Fishhead who graciously picked up the check for several of us at the buffet at the Nugget)...

I personally make a very concerted effort not even give the impression that I'm mooching off others (for example multiply times I've turned down rides since I been here and instead take rather long bus rides unless I was heading the same place as those offering)...

Sorry, but again, I just don't see the point of dropping much on food (or any at all if at all possible...) when I'm eating by myself most meals...

There is a reason why after only a couple days some are out of the game looking for loans while I'm closing in on a month in Vegas and (despite running like shit) am only down a very small amount (an amount that those trying to live the idealized Vegas lifestyle probably have no problem easily running through in a day)...

The casinos money isn't always easy to get and popping bottles and banging hot chicks while trying to get it isn't going to be sustainable for 99%...
