i've never placed a bet in vegas, so i am not privy to the customs, superstitions, yada, but, man, tipping is out of control.

the sportsbook tip just doesn't make sense to me.

do you tip your online sportsbook? "I know I just won a bet, but take a few bucks out of my account just for the heck of it. way to have those servers up and running, job well done!"

do you tip your bank teller? "I'd like to deposit this $500, but hold back $5 for yourself, way to type my account number in your computer, job well done!"

If your a big player you can tip but if you bet small your a dumb fuk for tipping. They do not do you any favors.

It doesn't mean you have to tip 20%. However, by tipping clerks I've been able to avoid filling out paperwork on several occasions. Just tip a little. Vegas payrolls are designed to rely on gratuity. Most people working in the casinos make minimum wage.

I had John Ruiz vs kirk johnson boxing in 2002 at the mandalay.... I had Ruiz +145 or something like that for $1000... Ruiz was getting his ass kicked but won by DQ (low blows) I was 21 first time in vegas i cashed out, the the old ass clerk at the Luxor sportsbook gave me a look that if looks could kill i would have dropped dead on the spot as i walked away. Now i know why he gave me that look... I'll tip next time.
