GLORIOUSLY LOVELY Wednesday Morning SBR!!

This time of year never ceases to amaze me! Not only is it cool enough outside to sleep with the windows open at night this morning as I opened up the back door to bring the dog in for the day, I notice back by the tree two deer standing in the neighbor's yard. Of course though as I walk out the door the dog starts barking and the deer run away

Mostly I was amazed that the dog hadn't noticed them. Usually he is barking early in the morning for someone to bring him in, but today I am not sure what was up. The only reason he is outside at night now is simply because of an incident in which he decided to develop a habit of jumping on the bed (remember this is a huge Saint Bernard) and onn top of Alan and I to see out the window. THAT is a very rude way to wake up in the mornings!

Anyhow, what games are you guys on today? Let's get some winners in this thread this morning

brewers have beaten the cubs 7 straight games, i don't see that changing today - cubs lineup is pathetic and didn't get a guy on base after the 3rd inning yesterday

cubs are 6-21 in their last 27 games

Nope. Most people here don't even lock their doors. When we went to Vegas, we left the back door unlocked so my son could go in and out as needed over the weekend. He was here on and off to feed the dog, kill time before practices, etc.

Gotta remember, I live in a small town. The kind of town where people don't lock their doors very often if at all, leave their windows open when they go on vacation, and hell the last murder here was back in 04, and I don't recall the one before that it's been that long ago...

Haha same here. If there truly was a serious issue, it wouldn't matter what the dog was in, he would find a way in the house. Sweetest thing in the world, but don't f* with his family.

Most definitely! The ticks around here are especially bad this year, we check the kids even after just going to the state park for them to fish, play whatever.

Ok so we learned one thing in our house this morning (seems like an obvious one to me, but apparently not the younger members of our family)...

A jar of strawberry jam left open on the table and a Saint Bernard to not mix....

In fact, they result in an emergency bath for the dog, soaked bathroom for me, and actually when the dog runs out of the bathroom soaked kitchen, dining room, and living room floors
