As Coach Spurrier says, this is talking time. 48 hours from now its playing time. This SC team is ready to go out and prove its ready to compete on a National level. Being a Gamecock fan I just want to win but I truly believe that we will win by a TD. We will see.
I'm curious, what are you basing this on Louisville?

He's just saying literally everybody seems to be on USC.. and in football last year, seems like when everybody was on the same side, everyone lost.

I see there are some people on SC, but not a lot. Whats the rationale on taking either team?

Latimore is probably still not 100%, Vandy is becoming a bitch to play at (6-0 ATS at home last year, 4-2 SU with losses by a combined 8 points vs. GEORGIA and ARKANSAS) and Rodgers is one year older at QB after starting for the first time last year. But like I said, I would not play the game at 6.5

I think what a lot of people are missing was their game last year. I'm well aware that to a certain extent you can't include games from last year, but it's alarming enough that it should be included. Vandy was held to ~80 yards of total offense for the game and scored 3 points. As well, the final score of 21-3 was a bit skewed as Garcia threw 4 picks (I believe it was 4, could have been 3, but pretty sure it was 4). This kept Vandy "in the game" at 21-3. However, I dont think Vandy is that much improved, and the SC front 7 is still pretty good.

The note on Lattimore is pure speculation. All reports from the university, Coach Spurrier, Lattimore himself, and his carries in the scrimmages are indicating he is 100%

Stephen Garcia did throw 4 INT's in that game. Connor Shaw is a much smarter QB than Garcia and he had an incredible run the final 3 games last season (Completed 74.5% for 657 yards, 8 TD's, 1 INT and rushed for 239 yards with 3 TD's). Vandy should be improved on Offense also. Like LT stated, Rodgers is in his second season, this will be his 8th start. Has his two veteran WR's in Boyd and Matthews and a solid RB Stacy behind him. SC lacks depth in the secondary and will be pretty green on the field. DBs Vic Hampton and Jimmy Legree are really going to have to step up but they have Senior FS DJ Swearinger SPUR DeVonte Holloman out there to anchor the secondary.

i wouldn't put too much stock in this, i doubt he's played many, if any, conference games on the road to open a season.
