College Football Week 1 Roll Call
Now that game week is officially upon us, time for all you college football bettors to check in.

What is the most anticipated Week 1 matchup on your slate?

Are you an action bettor like me, who bets on a lot of games, or are you only isolating 1 or 2 games to play?

How confident are you in your picks?

    Any locks on your radar?

Any picks you already have locked in that have you second guessing?

Do you do any parlays or teasers or are you straight bet all the way?

Are you playing any large ML dogs?

    As for me,

Most anticipated matchup is Thursday night with at Independence Stadium, Texas A&M playing Louisiana Tech in what should be a rain soaked muddy affair that will mirror the field conditions of the 1994 Independence Bowl.

Action bets. I have a shoebox full of betting slips for Week 1.

Was confident at first, but made these bets last week so I have had time to do more reading and research which is causing me to have some doubt, but I still feel like I made the right calls and would place the same bets again if I got a do-over.

My lock: Colorado -5.5, Colorado State is in a period of transition and were hit hard by transfers in the offseason. BYU -13.5 is my 2nd runner up in the lock catergory.

My biggest piece of advice for the first quarter of the season is to find the small conference teams vs. big conference team matchups and see what big conference teams are getting too much credit just because of the name on their jersey. The biggest Week 1 example of this is BYU/Washington State. Wazzu getting way too much credit.

I do parlays for fun, hit 3 6-teamers last year and several 3 teamers. Did not hit that elusive hail mary 8 teamer though

Biggest ML dog I am playing is Western Michigan +300.

I only do about 3-4 strong bets per week but I will also do 2-3 small parlays usually like a 5, 6, and 10 framers with big reward. As far as the week 1 matchups, I am really interested in Auburn and Clemson in the Georgia Dome. Clemson likely has the more talented team but they tend to self destruct on the big stage. Should be an interesting gamwe. I also like LA Tech's chances as well.
