Hey Dave, once again great video and thanks for sharing. I was wondering your position on parlays, particularly in the USC game. If you expect them to cover the 44 why not parlay w/ the over of 56. If you are wrong you still lose 1 unit, and it I think it highly unlikely for them to cover and it not go over.Comment -
I'm a big fan of this type of play... love when an offensive powerhouse faces a defensive powerhouse in pro and I can parlay offense/over or defense/under depending on which side I'm on. USC is all the way up to 46 now, so I agree with you, its definitely worth a shot with only a 10 point difference.Originally posted by dyosh808

not kicking anyone....everyone has bad days. But I don't go to multiple forums posting videos advertising my plays asking people to sign up for my free newsletter. If it's free why don't you just post it in the NFL forum? In my view if you are offering a service like the other 100,000 cappers online you who should rarely be below .500 on any given day. If there was a service that CONSISTENTLY made money don't you think the gambling world would know about it. The bottom line is cap your own games and you have a chance at making it long term.
I just think it's lazy and a waste of money to make your plays off someone reading a stat sheet straight from the 4 letter network and no I'm not talking to VegasDave, a capper on another forum does exactly that. Well, fortunately for me, I won on Rice, USC, and Tech, so despite the terrible start I end up a very forgivable 3 - 4.
Headstrong, if you will give me a chance to explain something, I'd like to do so.
I have never asked for a cent of money from anyone and I have no intention of going tout at all. I do my videos for free and post them in hopes that I can spread some winning plays to the betting public.
As for my newsletter, this seems to bother you the most. Let me explain... 4 years ago, I started writing a weekly newsletter with all of my picks and just sent it out to a few football friends and family. 18 people. Always free, just a fun thing I did. As I came across more football fans I would add their email address to the list.
This is my 4th year writing the thing, and it is a tradition of sorts. I was never this active on the boards before this year. Anyway, in my videos, which aren't only watched by people from these boards, I offer my newsletter for free to those who have found me on youtube or whatever. Plus I think it is a fun thing for people to start their Friday off with an email with all my writeups and a joke or two.
Yes, you are right, I could just post the newsletter here. But since I already type it up and send it out, its easier if I just have your email addy on the list as well, so I don't need to start a new thread, post it and make sure it is formatted properly. It is long and I use different size fonts and underlines and italics that would not translate exactly on a message board.
I DO post my NFL plays Saturday nights, completely free, with all my write ups! I only ask you to sign up for my newsletter if you want them when I send them out and in the format I intended them to be in.
I'm sorry you dislike me and my style, but please don't just couple me in with touts and services. I'm just a guy that loves to write and cap and put my stuff out there.Comment -

Guy A wants to post a video and send a free newsletter for people to do what they want with. How could anyone possibly have a problem with that? How could you possibly have so little in your life that things like that could give you a problem?
Lets say Guy A wanted to charge for his services, become a 'tout.' Whatever the fvck happened to supply and demand? If people are stupid, wealthy or lazy enough to require someone else to cap their games for them why is it so frowned upon? I don't get it. What's the difference between someone willing to pay for a pick and someone willing to pay you to lay their carpet? What's the difference between paying someone to tell you if it's the right time to buy or sell British Petoleum or paying someone to tell you if Nebraska will cover?
I'd never pay anyone for a pick, if you play one game per-day and you stick a pin in you've got a 50% chance of guessing right but lots of people do see the value of a tout, so why is it so wrong to supply information to someone retarded enough to feel the need to request it in the first place?Comment -
