Looks like Obama is going to get his Katrina Moment

You know the media and Obama administration right now are salivating over the prospect of a hurricane hitting New Orleans

Even if the Hurricane turns out to be a dud like Hurricane Gustav was, the media is still going to hype it up way out of proportion and Obama is going to get his photo op moments to make him look like some kind of savior, while the media shows split screen coverage of the response effort to what it was was like during Katrina.

Then the media will parrot how this response was a great one orchestrated by the savior Obama compared to the racist black hating response Bush's administration gave.

Also the media is going to focus completely on this hurricane, regardless of whether or not it is destructive, and give little coverage if any to the RNC convention. Token coverage is what you would call it.

As with everything Obama, for many, it's damned if you do damned if you don't. If Obama doesn't attend to it, he's accused of incompetency. If he does, he's accused of playing politics. This thing isn't going to be as strong as Katrina. It reminds me of when Irene hit last year. All of that hoopla for a storm that turned into a tropical storm the minute it hit landfall. This just makes for a good story to try and shadow the RNC.
