Please Help Me Out On Some Good Poker Sites

I've been playing for about 7 months now, and was thinking of taking the next step. I wasn't sure how poker sites outside SBR work. Are they set up like this site with in-ring games and tournaments. Are there any good sites with minimal big blinds for beginners? Any help would be appreciated.

all sites have minimal stakes, better to look for freerolls under private tabs. Never join poker site w/o going through another site for bonuses. I played play money for 12 months, 7 months OK if one has read alot. Keeps notes on every session played as the mind will play tricks. Never deposit except for bonuses. One site is not enough, Feltstars, Bovada, Intertops would be good to start. PM if you need site to go through.

5dimes does not have very many single table sit n gos. I play their $1/2 NL on a regular basis. I don't think it's rigged and I have done well as of late. Not bots either. Guys will chat. A lot of the main guys play multiple tables and creative play takes adv. of them pretty easily. GL.

if you want the money off quick you have to play on 5dimes, which i believe is the winning poker network. theres usually a few thousand players at a time and the tournaments when they run arent bad. the sit n gos suck but i dont really play them.

merge is probably the best site with best options overall, however if u need to be able to get the money off quick then that wont happen.

bovada isnt bad if you can get over the anonymous names, slowpay city though.

the cake network im kinda iffy on. dont really like the setup personally.

This is pretty good advice. Try to get some form of rake back or bonus. There's a lot of shitty poker sites out there now. Choose wisely.

most freerolls have bots to thin out the herd, they are used on most freeroll poker tourneys

In about 2 years of playing they seem to be the most realistic in terms of the engine NOT screwing people over..

Govt has fukked us...hardly anywhere to play anymore....I quit playing personally as I don't like any of the sites offered to US players.....

Gun to head I'd go with one of the skins on the Merge Network...Anything else I've seen offered for the american player - bovada, dsi, 5d, etc. is rubbish.

I've been thinking about going w/ True poker and sign up through a rake back deal. It's on yatahay or winning poker network...whatever it's called now. It's the same network as 5-dimes. Seems like a legitimate poker site, rake isn't terrible, and the games are usually soft. The rakeback will make up for some of the BBJ drag. Not sure about length of payouts. Still won't keep any amount of money on there that I would care to lose.

As far as shows/training material, I like http://www.thepokerbay.org/ . Always good to get people seeding there.
