Much thanks to Griz for setting me up with him. This Chicago bookie will be broke by July of next year.

PWAD, my shrink has me repeat this mantra before each session:

      "I am a square"
      "I am a square"
      "I am a square"

We both are squares, guy. I wish everybody luck (except the dickeaters), but you're no more a pro gambler than Brian Laverty.

      congrats on the cash, tho

This particular local has the same juice for every over/under... sometimes I get a better line or better juice with the local than if the under is already hammered down online.

Because 5Dimes won't honour some wins. If post a line value that was a mistake and someone takes the bet and wins, they won't pay you. They will say it was a mistake and give you less winnings. This could lead to scamming. They could accidentally increase the odds on some wagers knowing that they most likely won't pay out, but if someone hits they could just say, "Sorry, our mistake, the odds were wrong so we will be paying you less." If they make a mistake, they should still pay because it is their responsibility. Suck up the loss and pay out.

If I made $100.00 bets everyday for a year on 5Dimes and then one day, I bet a $1000.00 and lose. If I tell 5Dimes that it was a mistake, do you really think they will give me my $900.00 dollars back?

Are you talking about an obvious mistake or just weak line. Because if a local makes an error in giving you a line, he probabaly is not going to honor it either. Happened to me back in the day a couple of times.

When I had a local at school, the first week when I picked up cash it was an amazing feeling.

A few weeks later it went the other way wasnt very fun

Other than getting your winnings faster (and paying your losses faster), is their really that much of an edge playing with a local? Are the lines better than Pinny's lines or Matchbook's lines on a regular basis? I understand reputation is key but you need full confirmation this guy will be around by the end of the NFL season right? Winning is great but collecting is just as important.
